The Manufacturing game has become a staple of the operations management course in MBA programs across the country.

In effect the game tries to simulates what happens in production of products in a simple manufacturing company. The manufacturing deals with procuring of raw materials and processing it and delivering to the customer. This game can be played with many numbers of teams but should not be go beyond certain limit because it increases the complexity of the game. The game was developed keeping the aspects of the manufacturing and how the teams can learn the concepts of production while playing the game. The objectives can be o o o o o Methodology The game was to manufacture greetings cards with the resources and raw material provided by the co-ordinators. The game was designed in such a way that it encourages to plan before adopting any strategies. The team have to make friendship card and birthday card for the customer with certain conditions.The conditions are given below. The ratio of Friendship & Birthday card must be 1:3 Any number of cards will be taken but the ratio must to be maintained Birthday card can be accepted separately also The price of Friendship card is `15 The price of Birthday card is ` 5 Raw material will be supplied Table for the prices. Price is kept exponential to show the limited supply of material Adopting a product design for production which is easier to mass produce How to manage inventory of raw material? When to procure the goods and in what quantity? How to manage the cost of production and increase profit? How to fulfill the objective of the customer?

Procedure 1. Each team has to buy the required material for making a prototype by use of Material request form. 2. Prototype made by the team will be approved by the us can only be started for production 3. Prototype has to be approved in half an hour from the start of the game and then only production has to be started. In case of not meeting the time PENALTY will be imposed for the delay

4. Raw material shop will be open for issuing the material for the time period of 5 mins at a regular interval of 30 minutes and 5. The demand for the card depends on the customer needs. Hence the demand will change accordingly 6. The game should run for time which can emulate demand in the real scenario for a year 7. At co-ordinators should keep the number of Material request note which denotes the transportation cost for the manufacturer. 8. At the end of the game this scorecard should be filled
