System Administrator
Overview Three Pillar Global is searching for a System Administrator. The most competitive candidates will display a strong understanding of Three Pillar Globals objectives, strategy and values. This individual should maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability and emerging technologies and keep team members informed as appropriate with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market. Responsibilities work with the latest Amazon Cloud based services and technologies work with cloud based MySql clusters, Elastic Load Balancers, server arrays and many other help the team with planning and implementation the migration of several servers to the Cloud develop, maintain and secure the Cloud Infrastructure consisting of more then 300 servers assist developers with operational tasks (servers, deployments, scripts, etc) work with the TLs in developing company's enterprise architecture Requirements 1-4 years previous experience on a similar position good experience with GNU/Linux: Centos, Ubuntu or others experience with installing and configuring a GNU/Linux server good understanding of GNU/Linux boot process good understading of SysV init scripts and runlevels experience with configuring Apache, Postfix, Django, Mysql, Toimcat good knowledge of virtualization techniques: Xen, Vmware, Kvm experience with Apache and Mysql optimiziations experience with securing a GNU/Linux server and security related apps: rkhunter, chkrootkit, nmap experience with Cloud Computing (Amazon) is a plus good scripting skills: bash, perl, ruby experience with building and rebuiding rpms good knowledge of backup applications and concepts experience with Centos and Ubuntu package managers: yum, apt/aptitude good SQL knowledge: queries, management good knowledge of the following protocols: HTTP, SSH, FTP, SMTP experience with server monitoring: Cacti, Collectd, Munin good knowledge of Linux kernel routing and firewall: iproute2, iptables Benefits Extra-time free access to sport activities
