This is a guide to the basic elements of Oi and was written to benefit the people within Oi and its partners. Have a read and get to know us a little better.

Oi Logo. One of the most important rules of branding is to


always use the logo correctly. We must keep our logo looking neat and tidy, so distorting the logo in any way is never an option!

1 Original Logo
The original logos hairs fill is PANTONE 2573 U tinted 60%. This logo should be used as often as possible.

2 Black and White Logo


The black and white logo has black strokes and no fill. This logo should be used in situations where you arent printing in color.

3 Logo Over Color


Use this logo over PANTONE 2573 U tinted 60% if that is the background of the graphic. This is the only colored that the logo is allowed to be displayed on .

4 Reversed Out Logo


Use the reversed out logo if you are printing logo no 3 in black and white.

Spacing. It is important to space the logo properly because so


that it stands out. Oi using many unique shapes and we sometimes have to make exceptions to the main spacing guidelines. Only use the following two spacing options.

Business envelopes, letterheads, and business cards


Use the size of the o in oi to calculate the space around the logo.

Use the size of the spot of the mouth to calculate the space around the logo.

Do and Donts. Follow these helpful guidelines to avoid using the


logo incorrectly.

1 Space Around the Logo


Leave enough space around the logo for it to breathe.

3 Logo Without Text


The work oi is part of the logo. The word oi should never be separated from the logo.

2 Background Color
If the logo is against a color it must be against PANTONE 2573 U tinted 60% or reversed out against black.

4 Logo Color
Do not change the color of the logo illustration OR text.

5 Rotating is Not Right


Do not rotate the logo.

6 No Skewing
Skewing the logos width or height not proportionally is a definite no!

Colors of Oi. Color is a very important element of design. Colors


evoke emotion and is the second thing the viewer comprehends after shape. We must stick to these exact color formulas so that each printed material from Oi comes out looking fab not drab!

These are our primary colors. Black and Oi Light Purple are used for the logo. Oi Purple is used for headings

These are our secondary colors. These colors are used for Oi illustrations. Do not use these for logo.

Our Typeface. An important element of a brand that is


important to not overlook is the typeface. Only the following typefaces should used in Oi materials. Follow these guidelines to use them in a proper manner.

Miama

Is a very decorative font used very sparingly. This font is best to accent packaging design. This is also the font that was used to create the titles in the Oi Girls graphic.

Champagne & Limousines


The Champagne & Limousines type family is out corporate font. This is a feminine font that can be used from headlines to text. Use whenever possible

Champagne & Limousines also comes in bold. The weight difference is very slight so sometimes you must go up a point size when using larger type.

Using the Oi Tag line. The tag line is a short message that
encompasses the value and purpose of the brand. Therefore, we must use the tag line in a way that projects the message in the right way.

Tag line
The tag line must be in Miama and in Oi Black.

Beautiful hair. Beautiful Earth.


Using with Logo
When you use the tag line with the logo it must be on the bottom. For spacing, the tag line must be exactly one logo mouth from the bottom of the hair curl. The edges of the phrase must be square with the outer parts of the logo. Do not use the tag line with the logo if you must make the font smaller than 15 pt.

Illustrations. Oi uses illustrations to convey the different elements of


the company. Oi illustrations include the Oi Girls that represent hair types Oi cares for. Another illustration is the Oi swirl which is used as a decorative element. It is important to be consistent in the usage of these illustrations in order to not confuse the consumer. The same spacing guidelines as the logo apply to these graphics.

The Oi Girls
The illustration must ALWAYS be accompanied by title of hair type. The text and illustration are one graphic. If a larger or smaller size is needed, scale proportionately

2 The Oi Swirl The swirl stroke can either be black or PANTONE 2573 U tinted 60%.
The swirl can be used against any of the approved Oi colors and must be scaled proportionately. The swirl may bleed off the page.

Oi Materials. Oi uses its logo and branding in its packaging and


leave behind. Here are examples of each.

Packaging
The Olive Oi packaging is a small glass bottle that looks like an actual olive oil bottle. The label is an abstract shape in Oi Purple. The logo protrudes into a round tab but still adheres to the second option for logo spacing. There is a front and a back label.

The Oi leave behind is used to educate Oi users or potential Oi users on the benefits of the brand and product. When you turn the wheel you learn the effect Oi has on curly and straight hair and learn about the brand itself.
