The JetNet 6524G is a 19-inch Gigabit Stackable Layer 3 Industrially Managed Ethernet Switch, equipped with 24 10/100/1000 Base-TX ports, that includes 4 Gigabit SFP combo ports to deliver maximum throughput and flexibility for high-density and ultra high-speed connection. The stacking cable installation stacks together 8 units and allows to build a single-IP manageable device and simultaneously provide 40G backplane across full duplex stacking links. The design interface being flexible allows JetNet 6524G to provide up to 192 Gigabit ports per stack and 384G bandwidth for building intelligent large scale networks. Apart form 90-264VAC power-based JetNet 6524G model, Korenix provides the JetNet 6524GDC series, supporting 24V or 48V power inputs and features a FAN-less design with -40~65oC wide operating temperature for heavy industrial applications.. Easy Stack Management The simplified stack management interface of JetNet 6524G enables the users to manage up to 192 ports of the switches through singles console interface or remote management through single IP address. Also, administrators may benefit from the stacking interface by easy configuration of the precedency of each stack member. Assigning different precedence to different stack menbers enables the users to choose the management (Master) unit of the stack. In case a stack member's precedence has been assigned to be disabled, that member will be a slave unit. Layer 3 Routing The JetNet 6524G IP routing layer consists of the IP forwarding layer, ARP (Address Resolution Protocol) mapping layer and Routing Tables. The IP forwarding table provides wire speed IP and VLAN nter-routing. A single JetNet 6524G allows users configuring multiple IP subnets and assigning them to the physical interface. The routing table may be updates as per the routing inormation referred to be configured static route or learnt by dynamic Routing Protocols. RIPv1, v2, OSPFv1 and V2 are the dynamic Routing Protocols supported by JetNet 6524G.

Routing multicast streams such as movies, videos, industrial Ethernet automation streams through different subnets, apart from IP and VLAn routing, the dynamic multicast routing protocols, such as PIM-Dm and PIM-Sm, DVMRP, IGMP v1/v2/v3 are needed. The multicast routing features makes Korenix JetNet 6524G outstand from other layer 3 switches. IGMP snooping and IGMP router port selection protocols makes the JetNet 6524G act as an access level switch or aggegrated switch, so as to divide the clients into different subnets for wire speed routing and exchange routing information with other L3 routers/switches.
