On Friday February 10th Year 1 invited their grandparents into school to join in a fun morning of playing old traditional games and to take part in a Wii challenge! This was a great way to finish off their topic on What Makes a Great Toy? The children really enjoyed playing traditional games with their grandparents and it brought back some fond memories for the grandparents too. The children and grandparents played on theWii together, where children showed off their skills, and won! Thank you to all the grandparents who came along and made it a special morning and thanks also to Miss Westbrook and Miss Bartlett for arranging the morning.

Brampton Primary is a restorative school where the initial response to conflict is to find a solution where things are put right, the victims needs are met whilst also meeting the needs of the wrong doer and meet all the schools responsibilities.

I like the new classes that Year 5 and 6 have moved into. I like playing with the Lego and I can make zoos with the animals inside. I like doing drawings for my mummy at a table. Gracie and Danny in RB I like the classrooms because I like playing with the cars inside. I can play with my best friends outside. I have work up on the Goldilocks and Three Bears board. Saif in RJ Theres a new play area just outside , we play it and can play hide and seek there. We can learn and do new stuff in our classrooms. George in 1W. My classroom is nice because the book corner is like a castle. I like playing with the Lego. I play with the kitchens outside, Im a good cook and I make cakes. I can read with Mrs Willoughby in the little room. Maddie in 1B. Our new buildings look colourful. I like the new playground the best because it is big. The classroom is beautiful because it has lots of different colours like a rainbow. Leila in 2B I like the new classroom because it is big. I like maths and we go into the little room for reading. We gets lots of time out in the playground. Amandeep in 2PW The new classroom is very nice because its very colourful and like it is laid out nicelythe desks and that. The carpet is nice and soft. Rohan in 3WH Our classroom looks like same as our old one. It has really nice lights. The books are all stacked up nicely and I like not having to go outside. Hannah in 3W I like the classroom because its bigger and better. I like them because you can see your friends. Its more organised, if I need to get something I can find it. I can see a nice view of the field. We keep our coats and bags in the pod and I do Guided Reading in there. I like it because it reminds me of Dr Whos Tardis. Freddie in 4C Theyre really good, nice and clean, the new whiteboards are nice and white, weve new furniture. Its much bigger than the old classrooms. We like the pod because we get to keep our coats in there and its clean and we do Basics in there. James in 4H My first impression was nice, clean and tidy. I like the walls and lights because the walls are bright, loads of colour and no plain patches. The lights are nicer than the old ones, they fade on and off. Its quite a big space with enough room to walk around and keep everything tidy. Niamh in 5C. The new classroom is brilliant because most of the stuff is new, theres more stuff than the last room. Theres more space and nice colours on the wall. The windows havent yet got blinds so we cant see the board but we they come it will be alright. We have Year 5 desks now not Year 6 desks, they were too big. Ruby in 5B Its bigger than the old class, its brighter, the old was white and now its yellow walss and round the board theres a blue frame. Its going to be OK when we get our playground. Its better than going out to the toilet. Jade in 6S Since weve been in the new building, learning is more fun now, which is good. The classrooms are bigger, better and we can do more stuff. Theres enough room to sit on the carpet now. Toilets are better as they are closer and you dont need to walk down the corridor. George in 6M Playground Pals Last half term saw the final group of our playground pals complete their first period as lunch time play helpers to our mid-day supervisors. A small thank you was presented to them by Mrs Sword, our Senior Mid-day Supervisor in assembly. So well done to Sorrell Bulpitt, Sophie Ellul, Abitha Calistus, Grace Buttle, Charlotte Pullen and Danielle Hills.
