6. PAINTING:

GIFT WRAPPING:

9. MEHENDI:
y y y y y y Unlimited entries 2 per team (one model and one participant) Time limit- 1 hour 30 minutes Material to be brought by the participants Mehendi should be applied on both sides of the hand Points distributed for neatness, artistic impression and attention to detail.
10. RANGOLI:
y y y y y y Time limit- 2 hours Unlimited entries 3 participants per team Materials to be brought by participants Expression can be free hand or pictorial Chalks can be used to make the design

11. GRAFFITI:

42. LOONEY GAMES: y y y y One entry per batch Each team consists of 8 members. It will include both indoor and outdoor activities. Further details will be given prior to the event
NOTE: Events requiring audience points should have 5 audience members from every team. Inability to meet this requirement shall lead to negative points

2. MOVIE SPOOF:

One entry per batch Maximum of 9+1 per batch Team can choose to spoof one movie or a variety of movies Pre recorded music is allowed A narrator required to be on stage should him/herself narrate the dialogues. Make-up and costumes are allowed Points for humor, acting, factual content and faithfulness to the movie being spoofed. Time limit: 5+1 mins
b. Western/non-Indian Vocal Group - Maximum Time of 6 minutes (Minimum of 4 singers and maximum of 8 singers) c. Instrumental Music Solo - Maximum Time of 5 minutes (Non-Classical Indian or Classical/Non Classical Foreign Music to be played,optional two accompanists allowed) Bonus points shall be awarded to the participants for the performance and the use of the stage apart from singing as per the requirement Performance Duration: 20 Minutes
4. CULTURAL PARADE:
y y y y One entry per batch Teams of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 20 members (including the narrator) Batches are required to make their own arrangements for carrying placards The parade is required to march from the main hall entrance through the audience up to the stage and then take the stage y Each parade upon taking the stage will present itself to the judges y Props are allowed y Fire and live props are not allowed

During presentations, flags depicting the batch identity or any national flag, are not allowed Batches must not reveal or use their identity in any way during the presentation. Narrations and Live music are allowed for the presentation Only one narrator allowed per team Cassettes or CDs, if intended to be used, must be given to the organizers prior to the function Time Limit: 3 Minutes for presentation and 2 Minutes for stage setting and clearance
5. DANCE: y y y y y y y y One entry per batch Songs should be pre-recorded on a CD/Flash drive and to be provided before the start of the event. A volunteer from the batch should be present at the music station. Teams should give the sequence of performances by their batch at the time of picking lots A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants are allowed in the group event Points will be allotted for choreography, synchronization, expressions, setting and costumes Teams can take the help of professional choreographers to train them Points will be deducted on exceeding the time limit and a disqualification on exceeding the number of participants will be enforced y Decision taken by the judges will be final and binding y Usage of fire, water, dangerous weapons and live props on stage will lead to disqualification
y Stage should be cleared after the performance Individual Events : y Indian classical dance solo : y Maximum Time of 6 Minutes y Only Indian classical dance steps are allowed. y No filmy or folk steps are allowed y Music is required to be classical. y Props are allowed
y Indian non classical dance/Eastern solo : y Maximum Time of 5 Minutes y Classical dance steps are not allowed y Songs in Hindi or any other Indian language are allowed. y Songs from the movies, albums and folk songs are allowed. Fusion of songs are allowed y Props are allowed

Max Time of 7 Minutes A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants are allowed Classical dance steps are not allowed Songs in Hindi or any other Indian language are allowed. Fusion of songs is allowed A minimum of 4 dancers must be present on stage at all times of the performance
Western Duet : y Max Time of 5 Minutes y The team shall constitute of two participants- the participants maybe a boy and girl duet OR 2 boys OR 2 girls. y Only western choreography and songs in Enlish or any other foreign language are allowed. No Indian dance steps to be used. y Points will be allotted for coordination, choreography, expressions, and the dancers complementing each other on stage. y Props are allowed.
y Max Time of 7 Minutes y A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 10 participants are allowed in the group event y The Song HAS TO BE a fusion of English or Western songs and a Bollywood song. Western and Bollywood remixes are allowed. y ONLY Western and Bollywood Choreography is permitted. y A minimum of 4 dancers must be present on stage at all times of the performance y Props are allowed.
17th March
1. MIME:
y y y y y y y One entry per batch Teams of a minimum of 6 members and a maximum of 8 members A Theme shall be given 24 hours prior to the event No speech or human sounds are allowed Props are not allowed Background non-human sounds are allowed (e.g. rustling of leaves, Chirping of Birds etc.) No recorded music is allowed
y No use of foul or intimidating language y Emphasis is on Humour Performance Duration: Maximum Time of 3 Minutes
3. ANTAKSHARI:
y One entry per batch y Two members per team Language: Hindi only
4. FUSION JAMMING:
y y y y One entry per batch Songs should be reworked version of a previous known songs Minimum of 1 song of 2 different languages each should be performed Instruments should be brought by the participants
y A max of 6 instruments allowed with a min of 1 instrument of western and one eastern origin y Performance should be of min 4 mins and max 8 mins plus 5 minutes will be given for stage settings y Points will be based on singing, creativity, orchestra, stage presence
5. MOVIE MAKING:
y y y y One entry per batch No vulgarity, abusive language or plagiarism (except music and sounds) will be entertained All actors and actresses must be from the respective batches Points will be awarded for concept, story, performances, originality and direction
6. PHOTOGRAPHY:
y Two entries per batch y The theme will be informed to the Class Representatives of the respective batches on the 10th of March, 2011 y The photographs will be judged on the 17th of March, 2011 y The picture should be in either .jpeg, .psd, .tiff or any RAW format y The use of Photoshop is allowed but, if used, the original picture should be submitted with the modified picture and the submitted picture should be in .psd format (Coral draw, Picasa etc. may also be used for which the same rules apply as aforementioned) y No layers are permitted in case of Photoshop y Photographs should have all EXIF DATA intact; failure to do so will entitle a disqualification. y Editing is restricted to brightness, colour, sharpness, contrast and cropping. y Points will be awarded for composition, exposure, artistic appeal and originality. y Size of the photograph minimum 1536 x 1200 pixels
7. SKIT:
y One entry per batch y The Skit CAN be in hindi also
y Each team may consist of a maximum of 20 members and one MC on stage and a maximum of 10 members to help backstage (20+10+1) y Pre-recorded music, video clippings and slideshows are allowed y Props, costumes and make-up are allowed y Prizes for a. Best Actor b. Best Actress c. Best MC d. Best Director y A maximum of 4 microphones will be provided (including the MC) y The names of the team members should be handed over to the organizers on the morning of the event during their respective practice slots Performance Duration: 12 Minutes (curtain to curtain) +5 minutes (stage setting and clearance)

Indian Classical Instrumental Music(Solo) - Max Time of 5 Minutes y Only Indian classical should be played y Tanpura can be used, if required y One accompanist is allowed (excluding tanpura) e. Indian Non Classical Light Vocal DuetMax Time of 5 Minutes y One male one female per team y Songs in Hindi or any other Indian language are allowed. Songs from the movies, albums and folk songs are allowed. y Non film songs like Geeth/ Ghazals/ Bhajans/ Abhangs are allowed
For solo performances, bonus points shall be awarded to the participants for the performance and the use of the stage apart from singing as per the requirement Performance Duration: Total time duration of 30 Minutes
2.MOCK ROCK:
One entry per batch A maximum of 7 members per team Props are allowed Pre-recorded music to be submitted in MP3 format before the event Vulgar display of any kind is forbidden

ADAPTUNE:
y Two entries per batch y Four different songs shall be played for a duration of thirty seconds each to which the participant will have to dance y Props will be provided. Participant is expected to use the prop for a minimum of 1 minute (2 songs) y Points will be allotted for versatility, adaptability, expressions, proficiency of steps and the manner of prop usage (e.g. umbrella being used as a walking stick) Performance Duration: Maximum of 2 Minutes

STRESS INTERVIEW:
y Two participants from each batch shall be selected on the basis of a written preliminary round y The final event will be conducted onstage y Details will be informed to the Class Representatives beforehand
4.
MUSIC VIDEO:
y y y y y One entry per batch Music video on the lines of music videos of albums and movies No montage or picture slideshow Further details will be given to the Class Representatives Points will be allotted for the creativity,
Duration of presentation: Maximum of 5 Minutes (Will precede the respective batches Fashion Show)
5.
FASHION SHOW:
y One entry per batch
y Each team may consist of a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 members (inclusive of the narrator) y The fashion show must be based on any particular theme of choice except that of interclass y It must be in two segments with one change of clothing y Each segment must contain a minimum of 5 members y Props are allowed. Fire and live props are not allowed y Backdrops not allowed y Only one narrator per team y The teams shall give their cassettes/CDs to the organizers prior to the event y A representative from each team must be with the sound system operator when their team is performing Performance Duration: 15 minutes + 5 minutes (stage setting + clearance)
NOTE:
y Events will start sharp on time. Slots once allotted will be final. y Participants must be present at the venue 15minutes in advance. y Rules may be subject to change. Class representatives will be informed in advance if such circumstances do arise.
y There shall be negative marking in case the teams exceed the time limit. y The decision made by the jury will be final and will not be subjected to change.
