Position Title: Specialty Finance Analyst Summary: The Specialty Finance Group is a newly formed department managing a proprietary portfolio of loan investments within North and South America, with a focus on Project Finance. Primary responsibilities include conducting individual credit analysis of transactions and projects in their initial phase, sovereign credit analysis and research, and monitoring of existing projects within the portfolio through the development and post-completion process. The candidate is expected to have a general familiarity with Latin American economies with a strong preference for knowledge of the Brazilian economy, major companies, and governmental or multi-lateral organizations and agencies within the region. Knowledge of North American Project Finance, Energy and Power markets is also preferred but not required. The candidate should be fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and be able to assist in communications with borrowers and other third parties. Occasional translation of documents into English will be required. The candidate will be the primary member of the team responsible for the preparation and coordination of loan documentation and credit file information for ongoing monitoring and reporting requirements of the group including processing of amendment requests by borrowers, summarizing of project performance, assisting in internal risk rating analysis for projects, and other tasks. The candidate would work directly with the other members of the department including regular interaction with the portfolio managers and senior management. The candidate would be expected to be able to work independently on multiple projects with different members of the team. Job Functions (Duties and Responsibilities): Evaluates, prepares and periodically updates country, industry and/or company risks related to the Specialty Finance Division portfolio. Monitors the portfolio of existing loans to maintain credit quality and repayment schedules, as necessary. Studies and evaluates the information and prepares written reports for SFD,including but not limited to periodic account reviews and construction progress reports. Coordinates legal review of loan documents. Assists and provides back-up support to other members of SFD, as directed

Knowledge/Skills: 1. 2. Fluent, on a business level, in oral and written Portuguese and Spanish. Good knowledge of finance and credit analysis

3. Bachelors degree or equivalent in business or economics with 2+ years of related experience.. 3. Understands the importance of compliance issues in the execution of daily activities. Ensures compliance in daily work and may be responsible for training subordinates. 4. Basic knowledge of Latin American economies and governments & Brazil.
