Introduction
OPNETs ULC-1000AN Mini-MSAN System is a member of ULC-1000AN MSAN Multi-Service Access Network product series. ULC-1000AN Mini-MSAN solutions enable service providers to meet growing demands for phone, fax, narrowband and broadband data services. It is suitable to be installed in rural, low population density residential areas, or in Multi-Dwelling Unit (MDU) buildings. Due to the compact design of Mini-MSAN, it reduces labor costs and installation costs, and provides a quick solution to fill back orders from subscribers.

Applications and Main Features

OPNET's comprehensive ULC-1000AN MSAN solutions offer a variety of applications that enable service providers to leverage their existing copper infrastructure to deliver new, revenue-generating services using DSL technology. These applications include span-powering capabilities for Wi-Fi solutions, ADSL2+ availability for digital added main lines users and providing broadband data service beyond 12Kft from the Central Office (CO) to deliver high-speed access to hard-to-reach customers. The Mini-MSAN system can work as a Remote Terminal (RT) located near by customer side. Transmission linked with the Central Office Terminal (COT, typical ULC-1000AN MSAN shelf) at Central Office site, to form a completed solution for remote access.

Applications
There are varieties of transmission media be used to transport traffic between COT and Mini-MSAN Remote Terminal, service provider could select the most suitable one to implement their access network.
