02 Better Know A Student (In Terms of Science) Write-Up Rubric (15 points)
Students Relationship With Science (_/8) Excellent The reader is able to see an in-depth and focused discussion about the students relationship what it means to them, how it makes them feel, what they like or dislike about science, or how their experiences have shaped their feelings about science. Questions are age and grade appropriate. (6-8) The reader is able to see an in-depth and focused discussion around a science topic, question, or problem in which the students thinking is clearly described. The reader is able to see the kinds of resources (conceptions, ways of thinking, background knowledge) the student brings to the discussion. The science problem, topic, or question is age and grade appropriate. (6-8) The reader is clearly able to see what the writer has learned from the experience in terms of how this student relates to and approaches science learning. The writer clearly expresses how this experience may impact their teaching practice and how they may approach teaching science to their students. (7-9) The document is coherent and enjoyable to read, free of grammatical and spelling errors. (4-5) Good The reader is able to see a generally focused discussion that touches upon the students relationship with science and how it makes them feel. Questions are age and grade appropriate.
