TANFLOC Organic Vegetable

Coagulant from Renewable Resources Cationic Coagulant / Flocculant Wastewater Domestic Sewage
TANAC

A wastewater treatment plant with capacity to process 9.000 m of domestic sewage per day sought to use a coagulant causing minimum environmental impact in its flotation system. The treatment system consists of an anaerobic reactor followed by a flotation system for polishing. These used 250 ppm of metallic inorganic salt as coagulant and 2 ppm of acrylic polymer of high molecular weight as an auxiliary.

Located in southern Brazil, Tanac is the worlds largest producer of mimosa vegetable extracts. Tanac combines quality products and services with environmental preservation at all stages of the tannin production process. Channelling strengths to reach common targets permanently involves all the members of the Tanac team. ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSC an NSF certifications are the result of team work. A quality product range developed to satisfy the needs of the companys clients and guarantee best results together with prompt delivery and permanent technical assistance: this is Tanacs profile.

being added soon after the effluent passed through the anaerobic reactor, turning unnecessary the use of acrylic polymer which was employed as flocculation auxiliary. APPLICATION FLOWCHART

The Tanfloc product range is essentially natural in origin and competitive when compared to products traditionally employed in water treatment with the additional advantage of being totally biodegradable allowing complete digestion at the various biological stages of the process. Thanks to their versatility, Tanfloc products have effective action on several types of water as well as various sorts of industrial effluent. They are usually employed in drinking water treatment and in the treatment of effluents from several sectors including the petrochemical, ceramic, food, sugar, metal and cellulose industries, oil refineries, mining and domestic sewage. Tanfloc is compatible with most products on the market and may be used in combination with such products. Tanfloc works with minimal interference with the environment and offers various economic advantages.

BENEFITS DERIVING FROM THE APPLICATION OF TANFLOC Increased efficiency in the physical and chemical treatment; Generation of biodegradable sludge for unrestricted use in agriculture or as a fertiliser (after pathogenic microorganism stabilisation); Generation of effluent with final pH around 7,0 thus eliminating the need for correction with an alkalizing agent before conveying it to the receiving body; Rationalised manpower use by adding just one product in a simplified operation; Reduction / elimination of equipment and pipe corrosion deriving from the application of iron chloride; Operator health and safety improvement as a result of using a product which is not classified as dangerous by the UN.
