Objectives Teaching aids Settling in for first day of new school term Classroom management with the children Establishing rules and routines of English classroom Revision of Sound with the children Revise some songs that are familiar with the children e,g; Hokey Cokey, This is the way , Rainbow song etc.

By the end of the lesson the children will be able to: practice letter- sound correspondence.

Give out the comprehension question to each pair The children will ask the question to their partners and their partners have to answer the questions. Children switch and do the other way around with their partners. The children have to answer in full sentences as in the question sentences.

Objectives Listening and speaking (30 min) Compare two thin children in the class. Write thin on the board. Measure how thin each children are using their wasits as measurement in cm on the board. Ask the class who is thinner. E,.,g. Ahmad is thin. Compare two tall children in the class. Write tall on the board. Measure how tall each children are using measurement in cm on the board. Ask the class who is thinner. E,.,g. Badrul is tall. Use the pupils book to elicit sentences following the model above using these adjectives, e.g. Zainal is taller than Ahmad, Badrul is thinner than Nurul etc.

Objectives By the end of the lesson the children will be able to: Response, guess, assume, give their own opinion, a reason or an explanation on closed questions and openended questions from the teacher. Identify vocabulary or meaning which will be unfamiliar to them. Read the passage.

Date: 7th January 2012 Theme: Reading My self Classroom routines/Greetings/ settling/ tuning in activities. Listening and speaking (30 min) Give a passage to the children and identify vocabulary which will be unfamiliar to the children. Using pictures, mime or translation for the children. Ask the children to guess the meaning of these words from the context, after they have read the whole passage. Before the children start to read, initiate discussion around the theme of the passage. Guide the childrens reading by asking relevant questions and facilitate relevant discussion about the text theme. Ask different types of questions on closed questions and open-ended questions so children requires to guess, assume, give their own opinion, a reason or an explanation. During the reading of the text, questions should be asked to check comprehension of, or clarify information in, paragraphs already read. Ask the children on closed questions and open-ended. Make sure the children remain engaged in the text and focused on the meaning encoded within it.
