The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) was established
on 1 July 1961 to regulate the profession of accountancy in the Pakistan.
It is a statutory autonomous body established under the Chartered
Accountants Ordinance 1961. The ICAP is a member of International
Federation of Accountants (IFAC), International Accounting Standards
Board (IASB), Confederation of Asian & Pacific Accountants (CAPA) and
South Asian Federation of Accountants (SAFA).

ICAEW has had a warm and cordial relationship with The Institute of
Chartered Accountants in Pakistan since its inception.

The ICAEW is a founder member of the Common Content project,


an international partnership established to develop enhanced levels
of common educational content for accountants and auditors
