Please complete the following tasks carefully, as applicants are selected for interview based on successful completion of these tasks. Please submit the hand-written originals and keep a copy for yourself, as you will be asked questions about the tasks if you are selected for interview.

1 (i)

Written Assignment Think of a group of learners that you are currently working with or have worked with. Identify some of their main learning difficulties in one of the following areas:

Phonology (specify which area) Listening Reading Writing Language (specify one area) Outline how you tried to deal with these problems in the classroom. Give specific examples of materials and activities you have used to help this group of students in your specified area.

(750 words approx) 2 Lesson plan Please send us a lesson plan of a recent lesson you have taught. The lesson can be at any student level and can be a monolingual or multilingual group. The lesson should be 60-90 minutes long. You should include: context, level and L1 mix of learners the main aim(s) of the lesson the subsidiary aim(s) stages and aims for each stage procedure please be as detailed as possible to enable us to imagine the lesson copies of the materials used evaluation of how the lesson went and a description of what you believe to be your strengths and weaknesse as a teacher
