Please read the License agreement in the Section 5 before use the PRO EDL importer script.

1. Features
The PRO EDL importer is able to import EDL files generated by Adobe Premiere Pro, GrassValley Edius (CMX3600) or Sony Vegas Pro (Vegas EDL). The script builds an eyeon Fusion flow based on the EDL file. The flow contains a Loader and a Dissolve tool for each clip and ColorCorrector, HueCurves, TimeSpeed tool if needed. The keyframes of the Dissolve and TimeSpeed tools are set according to the EDL file. This means speed changes and opacity values are handled properly. (If the EDL contains all of these information)

2. User interface
Select a source EDL file
Browse and select your EDL file which has either .edl or .txt extension. Premiere and Edius use .edl files Vegas uses .txt files. Default: Path of the current composition

Editing Software
Select the software which generated the selected EDL file. Default: Premiere Pro or Edius

Type the framerate of the EDL file

You can specify the framerate of the EDL file. This is mostly the framerate of your project of the editing software.

Select the footage directory

Select the directory which contains all of the footage stored in the EDL. If the Search in subfolders option (see bellow) is ticked then the script look into every subfolder (Depth-first search). If one of the files is missing then the Loader tool become red. Default: Path of the current composition

Search in subfolders
If this option is ticked then the script searches for footage in subfolders too, otherwise it will try to select them from the files of the specified folder.

Fix R3D TC
If you edit R3D footage in Premiere Pro and export your RED project into EDL then the EDL will contain the R3D files Edge Timecode or Absolute Timecode. If this option is ticked the script will fix the timecodes and set the ranges properly. This fix works with R3D files only.

Ignore the full path stored in EDL (SVP only)?

Sony Vegas Pro puts the full path of the clips into the EDL file. If the editing workstation is different form the workstation which uses the script (or you want to load footage from different folder) this option will force the script to search in the previously specified folder.

NEW! - Use custom pixel aspect for each Loader?

If this option is ticked the script will set all of the Loaders pixel aspect to custom. Otherwise the Pixel Aspect remains Default in Loader.

NEW! - Pixel Aspect

X is the vertical; Y is the horizontal size of the pixels. These values are applied (if needed) to all of the Loaders created by the PRO EDL importer. Default: X: 1.0; Y: 1.0 (square pixels)

NEW! - Select Keyer

This option is useful when your NLE sequence contains several greenscreen/bluescreen footages. 2 keyers are supported: UltraKeyer or Primatte. Default: none

Create ColorCorrector for each Loader?

If this option is ticked then the script places a ColorCorrector tool for each Loader in the flow.

Create HueCurves for each Loader?

If this option is ticked then the script places a HueCurves tool for each Loader in the flow.

Tool spacing
You can set the horizontal space between the column of nodes connected to the clips. This helps to create an organized flow for advanced compositing. Value 1 means there is no space in the flow. If it is set to five for example then every fifth column will contain nodes (4 free columns).

3. Notes
Adobe Premiere Pro
If the timecodes of your clips first frame are not 00:00:00:00 you can force Adobe Premiere to start with this timecode.  For exporting EDL use the first video track only, audio must be disabled.

Edius 6
Before exporting EDL add the file extension to each clips Clipname in Edius. (Right click then rename). The other way is to update the EDL manually (with notepad for example). Edius 6 can export CMX3600 EDL. Use mode 2 option in the export panel of Edius.

Sony Vegas Pro

Works fine.

Because of the proprietary nature of the PRO EDL Importer, you understand that hmi will suffer irreparable injury in the event that you fail to comply with the terms of this License, and that monetary damages will be inadequate to compensate hmi for such breach. Accordingly, you agree that hmi will, in addition to any other remedies available to it at law or in equity be entitled to injunctive relief to enforce the terms of this License. 8. Refunds & Support. The PRO EDL Importer is sold AS IS and there are no refunds. All software has bugs, and if you discover one, please let us know. While we will do our best to fix them in later releases; however, this License does not entitle you to any support, upgrades, patches, enhancements, or fixes for the PRO EDL Importer (collectively, Support). Without limiting the foregoing, any such Support for the PRO EDL Importer that may be made available by hmi shall become part of the PRO EDL Importer and subject to this License. 9. Complete Agreement. This License constitutes the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the use of the PRO EDL Importer. It supersedes all prior agreements and understandings regarding the PRO EDL Importer. No modification

or amendment of this License will be binding unless provided in writing, and signed by an authorized signatory of hmi. 10. Assignment. This License is personal to you and you shall not assign or transfer the License or the PRO EDL Importer to any third party under any circumstances. Hmi may freely assign its rights and obligations under this License.
