IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS
1. The order in which the candidates are seated will be forwarded to the Examiner. Should a candidate be discovered to have copied from another, he/she will be externed from the Examination, as well as the candidate from whom he/she copied, if there is reasons to suppose that the copying was connived at by the later. No candidate, without special permission of the officer-in-charge shall leave his/her seat or the examination room till the end of the Examination. No candidate shall speak without permission if it be necessary for the candidate to communicate with the Superintendent, he/she shall stand up in his/her place and the officein-charge will see to his/her wants. Before beginning his/her answers, each candidate shall write on the title page of his/her answer-book the following viz, the subject, the number of the paper and his/her Roll No. When the time allowed has expired the book must be delivered to the superintendent, even though the candidate may not have answered any part of the paper. No candidate shall give any mark of identification including his/her Roll No., name, name of School/ College or Centre of examination in his/her answer-book except at specified places. INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILLING IN IMPORTANT COLUMNS IN THE ADMISSION FORM


Quota Admission Form No. permanent district shown in the admission form, subjects offered by him, name of centre, University Fee Receipt No. and Fathers Name in all correspondence before the receipt of Roll No. Afterward, roll No. will be your reference Number. Any Correction made in the form must be initialled by the candidate or by the officer attesting the form. column No.9 (Religion). State whether Muslim, Hindu, Jain, Buddhist, Parsi, Christian or other. No superfluous words should be added. Column No.11. (Centre at which to be examined). Every candidate must write the place of examination centre which is nearest to the place where he has been studying, at which he must appear. If, however, under exceptional circumstances a candidate intends to appear at another centre he/she must submit an application on a prescribed form, obtainable from this office to this effect duly attested by the officer signing the form, stating reasons for appearing at that centre. If the reasons given are considered adequate by the Controller of Examinations, he/she will be allowed to appear at that centre. All candidates are directed to visit their respective Centres of Examination one day before the commencement of Examination (first paper) to be sure of his/her seat in the Examination Hall.

GENERAL RULES FOR GUIDANCE OF CANDIDATES


Change of examination centre. A change of centre is not ordinarily allowed a candidate seeking change of Examination centre after the submission of admission from should apply on a prescribed form, which can be had from this office on an application. This should be submitted through the officer attesting the admission form. He/She should also deposit through Habib Bank/A fee of Rs.2000/- for change of centre. Examination Centre of late fee candidates. In case of candidates submitting the admission form with late fee, the University reserves the right of alloting any centre to such candidate other than that asked by them in their admission forms. Fee for a duplicate copy of Roll Number. A candidate who has lost his/her Roll Number before, the commencement of Examination can apply for a duplicate copy of the same through a well-known officer. Fee for a duplicate copy of the Roll Number is Rs. 200/- only. Refund of Fee Admission fee once paid shall not be refunded unless the candidate is declared ineligible and his admission to the Examination has been refused by the University office or the candidate dies before the commencement of Examination. All applications for refund of fee should be made after declaration of result of Exam Concerned, on a prescribed form obtainable from this office on an application. The candidate must give reference of the office letter or memo, under which admission is refused and should also state the University fee receipt number. Claim for refund of fees shall be entertained only if it is made within one year from the date of commencement of the Examination concerned (vide Para. 1 of the Syndicate Proceedings dated 10th December, 1951). Despatch of Roll Number Roll Number to candidates will be sent through registered post at least 20 days before the commencement of the Examination. If, however, a candidate does not receive his/her Roll Number at least 15 days before the commencement of the Examination, he/she should at once send a registered letter given the reference of his University fee receipt number, permanent district shown in the admission form, the admission form number, subjects offered name of centre and fathers name should also be stand. Intimation of result Every candidate will be informed of his/her result within 15 days after the publication of the result on the address given by him/her for despatch of result card. Any change in address must be communicated to this office not later than 15 days of the commencement of the examination, so that intimation regarding result may not go astray. Telegraphic intimation regarding results is not communicated by the office. Duplicate result card be had on payment of Rs. 600/- only Despatch of Registered No. Card. Registered No. Cards are always despatched along with Roll No. Note:Registered No. of Board of Secondary Education or any other University is not acceptable under rules.

DIRECTIONS FOR CANDIDATES


Admission of the Hall
To be retained by the Candidate after receipt of his/her Roll Number. 1. (a) The doors shall be opened each day half an hour before the time specified for the distribution the question paper. All the candidates must be in the Examination Hall before the time fixed for the commencement of the examination. The Superintendent shall permit a candidate, to take the examination provisionally, if the candidate is not more than 15 minutes late. (b) Except under exceptional circumstances, the Superintendent shall have no option to admit a candidate to the examination hall after 15 minutes unless he/she is satisfied that the candidate was delayed by a cause beyond his/her control in which case he/she may provisionally admit a candidate up to half an hour from the commencement of the examination, after which no candidate shall be admit to the examination hall for any reason whatsoever. The Candidate must sign a statement to the effect that his/her admission to the examination is provisional and that he/she will have no claim to have his/her scripts valued in case the Syndicate does not approve of his/her admission to the examination hall. Such a report should invariably be furnished in a prescribed memo, copies of which will be supplied by the Superintendent of the examination centre. No candidate is permitted to leave the room until the expiry of an hour after the distribution of the Question paper. Candidates leaving the Examination Hall before the expiry of half the time shall not be allowed to take their question papers with them. 2. A seat with number will be allotted to each candidate. Candidates will be required to find out and occupy their allotted seats. 3. The order in which the candidates are seated will be forwarded to the University office. All Candidates are required to use their own pens and blue black ink. Answers shall be written in the books supplied to the candidates, and on both sides on the paper. No candidate shall tear a leaf out of an answer-book. Blotting paper will be supplied. No Paper of any kind is to be removed from the Examination Hall except the question paper. 7. Candidates may bring their drawing instruments with them for their examination in Mathematics. No kind of ruler or instrument is to be used in either the sketch or the finished Drawing. Physics and Chemistry candidates may use stencils. 8. Every day before the Examination begins, the superintendent or the Deputy Superintendent shall call upon all the candidates to search their pockets & part-with & deliver to him/her all papers, books or notes, which they may have in there possession. No late comer shall be admitted unless this warning has been repeated to him/her at the gate. The Superintendent or the Deputy Superintendent or both as the case may be, shall forward to the Controller everyday declaration signed by him/her or them and witnessed by all the Invigilators then on duty to the effect that he/she did as a matter of fact, call upon the candidates to search their pockets and to surrender all papers, books or notes in there possession. 9. Any candidate who after announcement made under Ordinance 10 fails to part-with or is found to have in his/her possession or accessible to him/her, papers, books or notes, relating to the subject of examinat on of that paper or detected in giving or receiving assistance, or using or us attempting to use any other unfair means in connection with the examination, shall be expelled by the superintendent of the Centre from the examination room. 10. If a candidate is found having in his/her possession or accessible to him/her, papers, books or notes which might possibly be of assistance to him/her he/she shall. (a) If it is found that his/her possession of such books, notes or papers was due to inadvertence and was not malafide be debarred from passing the examination for that year only, as a disciplinary measure without any implication of moral turpitude, and (b) in other cases of possession be disqualified. 11. Any candidate detected in giving or receiving assistance or found guilty of copying from any paper book or notes, or allowing any other candidate to copy his/her answer-book, or using or attempting to use these or any bother unfair means, shall be disqualified from passing any examination for a period not exceeding 3 years. 12. Notwithstanding any other law for the time being in force and without prejudice to any remedy open to the University, under such Law: (a) Any candidate found guilty of deliberate previous arrangements to cheat in the examination such as smuggling another answerbook, impersonation or misconduct of a serious nature and the person who impersonates as such candidate if he/she is one the rolls of an affiliated college shall be disqualified for a period of note less than three and not more than five years or declared as not a fit and proper person to be admitted to any future examination of the University, according to the seriousness of the offence and the other circumstances of the case. (b) If the impersonator is not on the rolls of an affiliated college, the Controller of Examinations shall report the matter to the police and shall sent intimation of the same to the Vice-Chancellor. 13. Provided that in case covered by clause (a) above a candidate or the impersonator, on the expiry of five years including the examination in connection with which he/she was declared to be not a fit and proper person to be admitted to any future examination may, as a special case, be exempted by the Syndicate from further operation of this Ordinance with the sanction of the Vice-Chancellor. 14. (a) Any Candidate obtaining admission to the examination on the false representation made on his/her application from or using abusive or obscence language in the answer-book shall be disqualified from passing any examination that year and the next year. (b) Any candidate forging another persons signatures on his/her application or his/her admission from shall be disqualified as in Ordinance 13. 15. Any candidate found guilty of disclosing his/her identity or making peculiar marks in his/her answer book for that purpose shall: (a) if he/she is successful in the examination, be disqualified from passing the examination that year: or (b) If unsuccessful in the examination be disqualified for that year and the following year. 16. Candidates guilty of communicating or attempting to communicate, with examiners with the object of influencing them in award of their marks, shall be deemed to have used, or attempted to use, unfair means within the meaning of Ordinance 13 and shall be punished accordingly. Communications of the nature addressed to the Controller will be treated as falling in the same category and the candidate concerned shall be punished as in Ordinance 13 Explanation: An approach made by a relative, guardian or a friend of a candidate will, as a rule, be considered to on behalf of the candidate who shall be punished as laid down in this Ordinance. The making of an appeal to the examiner through an answer-book by a candidate is prohibited. The answer paper in which such an appeal is made shall be liable to be cancelled. 17. Any candidate who refuses to obey the Superintendent of an Examination in the examination Hall or changes his/her seat with another candidate, or changes his/her roll number card, creats disturbance of any kind during the examination, or otherwise misbehaves in or around any examination hall shall be liable to expulsion by the superintendent or the Controller or Inspector of a Centre or any officer duly authorised by the controller as well as to any of the following punishments according to the seriousness of the offence: 1. Cancellation of the particular answer-book concerned. 2. Disqualification for one year only. 3. Disqualification up to three years. The Superintendent of examination Hall shall report without delay each case in detail with evidence and explanation of the candidate concerned for final orders of the University. 18. In case of an emergency the Vice-Chancellor is authorised to award suitable punishment, without reference to the Unfair Means Committee, to any candidate or to any student on the rolls of the affiliated Colleges, who creates disturbance of any kind during an examination or otherwise misbehave in or around any examination hall. 19. Any candidate found in possession of fire-arms or anything capable of being used as a weapon of offence in or around any examination hall, shall be, liable to expulsion by the Officers as mentioned in Ordinance 9 above and to disqualification ranging between two and three years. 20. In the case of the alleged use of unfair means in connection with examinations, if in the opinion of the Vice-Chancellor facts have been brought to light within 30 days of the receipt of the decision by the candidate which had they been before the committee, might have induced them to come to a decision other than the one arrived at than Vice-Chancellor may order that such facts be reduced to writing and placed before the Committee. The Committee shall then reconsider the case. A unanimous decision of the Committee shall be final. But in the event of a difference of opinion the case shall be referred to the Vice-Chancellor, who may either finally decide the case himself or refer it to the Syndicate for final decision as he thinks fit.
