Radiography Program Admission Worksheet

The Radiography Program has a selective admission process. Students must meet minimal criteria in order to apply and admission is competitive. Admission to Richland does not guarantee admission to the program. Out-of-district students who are not part of a cooperative agreement will be considered for the program when space is available. Directions: Students will use this worksheet to determine if prerequisites to apply to the program are met. The Radiography Program follows the Health Professions selective admissions process. Students will use the online Pre-Advisement Plan on myRichland to submit an application during the designated application period. Students must check their student email to verify completion of the application. *The Program GPA is calculated using the grades earned in the Radiography general education requirement plus RADT 101 (see courses below). Transfer and Richland credits are used in calculating the Program GPA. All students seeking admission must earn a grade of C or better in all prerequisite and program coursework and have a Program GPA of at least 2.5. A minimum 2.5 Program GPA is required for admission to, progression in, and graduation from Richlands Radiography Program. Program GPA Calculator: Multiply the grade earned in the course (A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, F=0) by the course credit hours to produce the quality points. Add the total quality points and divide by the number of total credit hours completed. **BIOL 101 is not required as a prerequisite for BIOL 201 if student has completed 2 years of HS Biology and 1 year of HS chemistry or physics with grades of B or above within the last 3 years. Eligible students must substitute another general education course if BIOL 101 is not required. The last biology course must be within the last 5 years.
