Introduction
The automation system SELECONTROL MAS represents a productive platform for the most different scopes. The system is divided into central and decentralised modules. The hardware is composed of central and decentralised processor modules, central and decentralised input and output modules for digital and analog signals as well as axis modules for stepping motor drives and servo drives. The data exchange between the central modules is made via system bus. Standardised bus systems (e.g. CAN bus) allows the data exchange inside and outside the system. For programming purposes, the user has the software package CAP 1131 as modern developing tool under Windows at his disposal. There the used programming languages, data types and structure means correspond to the IEC 61131-3 standard and are described in detail in the manual 'SELECONTROL MAS-Software' (Art. no. 43930126).
