Service Details To evaluate, identify, and recommend improvements to your storage performance and utilization, NetApp performance consultants conduct a four-phase consultation process. Phase 1: Startup First, our consultants meet with the IT groups in your organization and work closely with you to develop an in-depth understanding of the systems and applications in your storage infrastructure. Phase 2: Data collection During the second phase, our consultants develop a plan for data collection. Then they collect configuration, operational, and performance data across the storage infrastructure by using NetApp core management tools such as Operations Manager and Performance Advisor. Phase 3: Data analysis In the third phase, our consultants use proven tools, methodologies, and best practices to analyze the data collected from the NetApp storage systems and correlate it with high-level data gathered from hosts, applications, and the network. Phase 4: Results and recommendations During the final phase, our consultants create an in-depth report and presentation about their findings and recommendations and discuss those documents with your team.

Deliverables Performance Assessment and Recommendations Report. Using NetApp tools, our consultants create a detailed report containing graphs, data, and tables that organize and make sense of the data collected. In addition to the Performance Assessment and Recommendations Report, NetApp consultants develop a PowerPoint presentation targeted at IT managers who are concerned about the operational and management aspects of the storage infrastructure.
