VS01: TEST ENGINEER - RECENT GRADUATE Job Descriptions: - This position is a member of our hardware team to develop PCB boards for our products (set-top boxes, media players) using Sigma Designs chipsets. - Report to the hardware team leader. - Responsible for testing & verifying of PCB prototypes using test instruments. - Creating test plan, executing the test plan and creating documentation. - Working with EMS partners for issues related to testing of mass production. - Continuing support of the products. Requirements: - BS/BE in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or a related field with good performance (GPA>7.0 preferred). - Strong background in electronic circuitry (digital and/or analog circuits). - Strong trouble shooting & problem solving skills. - Passion working with test equipment and want to pursue a career in hardware design/test. - Self-motivated and consistent in pursuing of excellence. - A good team member with good communication skills. - Prefer someone with hand-on experience working with lab equipment (oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer) and good soldering skills. Requirements: - BS/BE in Electrical Engineering/ Electronics/ Computer Engineering or a related field with good performance (GPA>7.0 preferred) - Strong background in electronic circuitry and integrated circuits (digital ICs and/or analog ICs) including knowledge of logical gates, CMOS transistors, digital functions of NMOS and PMOS - Plan to pursue a career in IC design with passion. - Programming skills include C, C++, Matlab. - Self-motivated and consistent in pursuing of excellence.

Quantity: 9 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------VS04: HARDWARE IC TEAM LEADER - EXPERIENCED IC DESIGN ENGINEER Job Descriptions: - This position is a part of our IC design team to support design and development of SoC for set-top boxes, media/ home entertainment products - Report to the hardware technical leader. - Design and develop Chip, IP by hardware description language (HDL) - Investigate and verify system specification - Create test-bench, firm-ware test for verification of ASIC - Apply advanced hardware design methodology (Verification, Synthesis, DFT and P&R) - Evaluate & test prototypes - Understand ASIC design flows and provide technical expertise for the development of SoC - Help build a strong IC team as well as create documentations and train for new members Requirements: - At least one year of working experience in IC design (digital, analog or RF circuitry) - Experience in using software tools for IC design; examples are Verilog HDL/VHDL synthesis & simulations using Synopsys tools, layout & verification using Cadence tools - Strong background in IC design (deep knowledge of logical gates, CMOS transistors, digital functions of NMOS and PMOS) - Strong programming skills (C, C++, Matlab) - Strong communication skills and leadership skills - Strong trouble-shooting skills, excellent written & verbal communications - Prefer someone with: a strong understanding of Verilog RTL, simulation and verification, experience in ASIC/ FPGA design, testing experience using oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer. - Responsible for managing a team to create schematics & layouts for multilayer PCBs using reference designs within specific deadlines - Working with test engineers to verify prototype boards - Working with EMS partners for mass production - Continuing support of the product - Working with hardware technical leaders and hardware project leaders for new product introductions - Supporting hardware technical leaders & the IC team to create new reference designs. - Creating documentations and training new team members. Requirements: - At least one year of working experience in designing electronics circuits (digital circuits or analog circuits on PCBs), experience in both design & layout PCBs. - Strong background in electronics & hardware design. - Proficient in schematic capture and layout programs such as Orcad, PADS, Altium design. - Strong communication skills, leadership skills and project management skills - BS in Electrical Engineering or related fields, MS preferred. Prefer: - Knowledge or working experience of high speed digital PCB design (signal integrity related issues) - Knowledge or working experience of the following standards of DVBT set-top box, DDR Interface, HDMI, Ethernet, WiFi,.. - Testing experience using high speed scopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, WiFi testers,..
