PAPER MFC 101 : ACCOUNTING CONCEPTS & TECHNIQUES INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SETTER/EXAMINERS The question paper will consist of three sections. Section A will have 8 short answer type questions covering entire syllabus and candidates are required to attempt any 5 questions. Each question will carry 2 marks. Section B and C (consist of unit I and II of the syllabus respectively) will have four questions each from respective units and candidates are required to attempt two questions from each section B and C. Each question in section B and C shall carry 10 marks. UNIT-II Analysis and Interpretation of Financial Statements, Techniques of analysis : Comparative Statements, Common Size Statements, Trend Analysis. Ratio Analysis and AS 20. Fund Flow and Cash Flow Analysis (with special reference to AS 3). Marginal Costing :Concept and application of technique for decision making in business, Cost-Volume-Profit Analysis. Standard Costing: Concept, types of standards, fixation of standards. Variance Analysis: Material variance, labour variance and overhead variance; Budgetary Control: Concept, Steps in budgetary control, Types of budgets, Budgetary Control and Standard Costing, Introduction to Performance Budgeting and Zero Base Budgeting. Uniform Costing and Inter Firm Comparison.

Working Capital Estimation and Management. Operating cycle concept, Determinants of working capital, Management of inventory, cash and receivables. Working Capital Financing: Spontaneous vs negotiated financing. Recent developments in working capital financing system in India. Mergers and Acquisitions Financial aspects.

PAPER MFC 104 : BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PAPER SETTER/EXAMINERS The question paper will consist of three sections. Research Design Construction : Sampling Methods (probability and nonprobability based), Sampling and non-sampling errors, methods of Data collectionPrimary and Secondary Sources. Questionnaire Design, Scales : Rating Scales and Attitude Scales, Hypothesis : Null and Alternative Hypothesis, type I & II errors, Testing of Hypothesis : Parametric Tests (Z, t and F Test ) and Non-parametric Tests (Chi-Square and Kendall's Coefficient of Concordance ( W test), Data Analysis, Report Writing.
