Nowadays, the working pressure of many people has been increased sharply in modern times.

In order to save time, it has been a common habit to eat instant noodles in our daily life. Therefore, instant noodles are a kind of essential food. However, instant noodles have always been regarded as junk food without any nutrition. In fact, many people are not sure at all about whether instant noodles have nutrition or not. The way to produce instant noodles is familiar to most of us. Generally speaking, except the instant noodle itself, at least two material bags are contained inside the packaging bag. One is liquid seasoning packet or soy sauce bag containing animal oil, and the other is powder bag with salt, flavor agent, spice, seafood and so on. Sometimes, another bag of dehydrated vegetables is also contained in packaging bag. The nutrition of fried instant noodles is composed of flour and oil, which has nothing different from the nutrition of deep-fried pancake at all. As the temperature of frying instant noodles is relatively low and the time is short, the toxic substances like acrylamide as well as the nutrients are reduced. The content of oil contained in instant noodles takes up about 16% to 20% with less than 10% of protein. Then the rest is starch. All the content of vitamin B and minerals comes from flour. However, the content of vitamin B and minerals contained in processed instant noodles is less than that contained in flour. That is to say that the nutrients contained in instant noodles are much less than those contained in ordinary cooked wheaten foods like steamed bread and baked pancakes. However, the content of oil in instant noodles is much higher. Instant noodle is a kind of convenient food containing some basic nutrients needed by the human body. It can provide sugar, oil and protein for people. In fact, instant noodle is also a kind of staple food contained oil and salt. But instant noodles can not take the place of vegetables, fruits, meat, eggs and milk in our daily life. If people take instant noodles as the only food for dinner, the amount of fat provided by instant noodles is much higher than the ideal amount. In addition, the content of protein is relatively low. If people always eat instant noodles to take the place of the normal dinner in everyday life, many problems like the nutrition imbalance and trace element loss will be caused to threaten the human health.

The company has introduced a line of products it calls the worlds first functional instant noodles. It consists of four microwaveable noodle bowls. Beauty Bowl with Marine Collagen and Vitamin E (Chicken flavor). The added collagen is said to help moisturize the skin and help reduce dryness and wrinkles.

Power Bowl with L-Carnitine (Hot & Sour flavor). L-Carnitine has been shown to promote healthy body weight by reducing body fat, and even to improve sperm count in men.

Kid Bowl with Omega-3 and DHA (Seafood flavor). Omega-3 fatty acids are heart-healthy and the fatty acid DHA promotes healthy brain development in young children.

The Review Our taste panel tried all four flavor/function varieties and found them all to be flavorful as well as functional and highly convenient. We also appreciated that the packaging/bowls were reusable as storage containers and are recyclable. The Beauty Bowl (Chicken) flavor was rated best tasting overall, featuring a rich chicken broth that was satisfying and not too salty. We also very much liked the Power Bowl (Hot & Sour Shrimp flavor), which had a real spice kick to it. The Green Bowl (Seaweed flavor) received mixed reviews, with some quite enjoying it, while others found the seaweed taste a bit off-putting. The Kid Bowl had a sweetness to it that will undoubted appeal to children, but we adults thought it a bit too sweet. Bottom Line General comments were overwhelmingly favorable. I could eat this on a regular basis, said one enthusiastic taster. Whereas ramen noodles are thought to be junk food, this stuff is real food, commented another. Better flavor. Better for you.

Chefs noted that it would be simple to use the rice bowls as soup starters by adding chicken or other meat protein, vegetables and spices. In short, we were pretty much bowled over.

Instant noodles do not pack a lot of nutrition

Latest Updated by 2005-06-08 09:32:28 MANY people are mad about instant noodles, with good reas on. They are cheap, eas y to prepare and,

well, instantly gratif ying. Children love them. But are they good for you? Nutritionists would never say that eating the ubiquitous noodles every day is healthy, but the occ asional bowlful will certainly do no harm. Take a look at the ingredients list. The first item is always white flour. In dietary terms, this is a refined complex carbohydrate. Carbohydrates are required for the processing of nutrients within the body and it is also our main s ource of energy. The second largest nutrient group in instant noodles is fat. Most of us eat pasta with the understanding that it is a high-c arbohydrate, low-fat food. Not s o with the instant variety. "Most instant noodles are dried by deep frying, and only 3 to 4 percent are air-dried. Instant noodles are about 18 percent fat," said professor Harold Corke, a wheat expert at the University of Hong Kong. Nutritionists recommend that about 20 to 30 perc ent of daily calories come from fat. If you are at risk of coronary artery dis eas e, avoiding instant noodles is advis able. But aside from health concerns, most noodle lovers would choos e a fried variety simply bec aus e oil makes foods taste better. There is, however, more to instant noodles than simply flour and fat. Potassium carbonate is a s alt. W ithout this additive, the noodles would be s ofter, easily turning mushy. There is no nutritional value in potassium carbonate, but it is not unhealthy. The s ame goes for the mysterious xanthan gum that often appears toward the end of the ingredient list. It is a bacteria-derived food stabilizer that has long been approved for human c onsumption. The condiment pouches contain most of the product's salt content. Again, if you are required to maintain a low-salt diet for blood-pressure reas ons, instant noodles are not appropriate. The flavor pouch als o contains coloring to make the broth look more appetizing. Dr. Edmond Li, a Hong Kong nutritionist, has this advic e: "Do not rely on instant noodles for a source of vegetables. They are added only to make the dish more satisfying and are not intended to provide the consumer with nutrition."

I personally think that what keeps Asia going is INSTANT NOODLES! The obsession with speed, moving quickly, NOW, snap snap snap requires the population to move and shuffle along rapidly in all aspects of life; from walking to working, to eating, and nothing is quicker than a cup of instant noodles. In fact, people in Asia, especially the Chinese, love instant noodles so much, it could be a meal during anytime of the dayyou can have it for breakfast, for lunch, as a snack, during dinner, or as a midnight snack!

the importance of instant noodles
