Regarding the Conducting of

a Pilot Examination in Vietnam

(1) Objectives

(1) This examination is considered a pilot examination to

understand the situation of bringing up Fundamental
Information Technology Engineers (FE) in Vietnam.

(2) The results of this examination will be used as data

to determine policies and content of future training.
(2) Prerequisites for conducting
the examination

(1) The examination will be conducted in one or two

halls (university or other place) in Vietnam at the
end of June or beginning of July 2001.

(2) Vietnam will appoint in advance the organization

and person in charge of conducting the pilot
examination.
(3) The classification of the examination will be FE.
Questions that have already been used in Japan will
be translated into English and used for the
examination. (Questions may be modified or
replaced by questions suitable for Vietnam.)

(4) The examinations to be conducted in Vietnam from

this time forward will be almost equivalent to
examinations conducted in Japan. However, Japan
will not issue certificates to the successful applicants.

(5) The expenses required for the operations carried

out in Vietnam should be borne by Vietnam.
