One -year experience on a live Jetstream-31. Assembly/disassembly, B-check, and various general maintenance/servicing tasks. Three-months work experience last summer as an engineer on general light/aviation aircraft. Carrying out general maintenance/servicing (50s, 150s, and annual checks). My level of higher education provides good strategic appreciation and vision of engineering tasks. Proficient at reading and working to technical drawings. Able to build and implement sophisticated plans. Able to operate equipment and tools reliably and safely.
Achievements
Ambassador for the University of Glamorgan Aeronautical Engineering Department: Unveiling Jetstream 31 to the public. Showing maintenance facilities to Welsh Minister of Education and talking with prospective students. Interviews with BBC and ITV television, and BBC Wales radio re aeronautical courses at the University of Glamorgan and future career prospects. Methodical approach to engineering principles and planning enable me to efficiently complete tasks. Degree level management techniques such as Taguchi methods often assist efficient interpretation and continuation of engineering processes. City and Guilds qualifications demonstrate good quality practical hand skills.

2010 2011 University of Glamorgan (Part 147), Pontypridd, UK One year experience on a live Jetstream-31. Assembly/disassembly, B-check and various general maintenance tasks, all carried out in accordance with the Aircraft Maintenance Manual, under the supervision of the licensed aircraft maintenance engineer.
Summer 2010 Aeros Engineering Ltd, Staverton Airport, Gloucester (Part-145), UK Approved aircraft maintenance facility catering for all general aviation & light aircraft up to 5700kg. Three months of work experience and training in maintenance hangar, carrying out 50-hour checks up to Certificates of Air Worthiness. 2008 2011 International Centre for Aerospace Training - ICAT (Part-147), Cardiff, UK Training in hangar environment: Basic training including sheet metal practices, wire locking, mechanical fittings, assembly/disassembly etc, working on an ex-RAF Scottish Aviation Bulldog aircraft and a Piper PA-23 Aztec. DARA St Athan / BAMC Cardiff Airport Two weeks at each establishment working as an engineering pre-apprentice on Vickers VC-10 aircraft and Boeing 747 and 777 aircraft.
