This documentation describes how to install and distribute the SAP front-end software on Windows platforms from installable CD. Platforms The SAP GUI-620 for Windows can be installed on: Windows 98 Windows NT 4.0 Windows 2000 Windows XP The SAP GUI-710 for Windows can be installed on: Windows XP Windows Vista Download Instruction in case of No CD available with you. Open Internet Explorer Write ftp://10.72.24.9/pub & press Enter OR http://10.72.24.9 & Click on Download link after login to the server Click on ERP Folder

Note :- After unzip the downloaded file i.e. GUI-620.zip, it will provide you complete installation source of SAPGUI-version 620 and its Patches No, 54 & 71.

While GUI-710.zip will provide you complete installation source of SAPGUI-version 710 and its Patches No, 5 , 7 & 10. If you have already have SAPGUI installed in your PC and want to download & install only Patch of your installed version then All the patches you can find in same ftp folder RP separately also.
You can find Setup.exe & Setupall.exe in GUI-620 & GUI-710 folders
respectively after unzip.
Double Click on these file to install SAP GUI in your PC & follow the instructions
on your screen. Sample screen of GUI-620 installation are provided in this manual. GUI-710 gives you somewhat same screen as given by GUI-620 installation.

Local Installation from CD To install front-end software components on a single computer. You can install directly from CD without setting up a front-end server. Prerequisites You need local administrator rights under Windows NT, Windows 2000, or Windows XP.
Procedural Steps
Step: 1. Installing the SAP Front End In folder D:\sapgui+p5+ini on the CD, start setup.exe the setup wizard appears.

The setup wizard displays a hierarchical tree containing the components, and groups of components, you can select. 5. Select the components you want to install. When you select a group or component, a short description with the disk space required is displayed on the right. A checked box is white if all the components underneath have been selected, but is gray if only some have been selected. Click on Next The following screen 3 will come, Screen: 3

Select SAP GUI checkbox from the above screen and click on Next, new screen 4 will appear. Screen: 4

Wait till all the files from CD are copied to your local machine and the following screen will appear

Click on Finish and your installation will be over. Procedure To create Production server connection Entry into logon pad follow the procedure
Go to directory
Open the services file in Notepad & Add a blank line above line sapdp00 3200/tcp Type sapmsPD1 <Press TAB Key>3605/tcp in added blank line (Make sure that entry should not be at the end of file) Save services file & close it. Open SAPlogon by double-click on Desktop Icon, you will get screen given below.

Now click on Groups Tab, You will get screen given below.
Now fill up the System Id and Message server field as given below.

Now click on Generate List Tab , so It will show you two connection given below.

Now click on OK Button, and the connection is now added to your Logon pad like this.

Now click on Logon for login to production server so you will be asked for username and password as shown below.

Type your valid username in User field and password in Password field and then press Enter key in you keyboard to login.
