Introduction Criteria Tools Pre-testing Checklist Procedures Interfacing to Electrical System Test Form

1.

Introduction The following test procedure has been prepared for the testing and commissioning of the BMS Interface to Water Detection System for the Credit Suisse First Boston at Signature Building. The procedure will be adopted for Credit Suisse First Bostons on the above system comprise of the following Electrical system.

DB 4A, 4B & 4C SSB 4A & 4B PDU 4A & 4B EMSB 4 Generator 3

2.

Criteria The BMS system is able to report correct feedback of equipment status & alarm for BMS monitoring points at BMS Central for both high & low level interfaces. The BMS system is also able to report the proper analogue reading from the field sensors either through hardwire points or high level interfacing points.

4. Pre-testing Checklist

4.1 Check & ensure that all battery operated testing instruments have more than sufficient battery
capacity to last through the test. Standby spare batteries.

4.2 Check & ensure that the test probes are not missing & in good working condition. 4.3 Charge walkie-talkies & test the radio communication one day in advance of the test. Ensure
that the antennae are not damaged & standby spare batteries.

4.4 Check & ensure that power is available at field equipment, sensors & controllers. 4.5 Check & ensure that access to field equipment, sensors & controllers is available &
unobstructed. Acquire keys in advance.

4.6 Check & ensure that PDU final sub-circuits circuit labelling is available at the power sockets &
PDU front panel face-plates.

4.7 Check and ensure that the BMS database and graphics for all the Electrical Alarm Systems are
complete to facilitate these tests.

Task Inspect that all wiring installation have been done properly according to the specification. Setup trending for the points that needed to be tested. Ensure the device being monitored is active. At the Electrical Panel BMS compartment measure the analogue Input signal. At BMS Screen check the value of the analogue Input and compare against display (where applicable) on equipment being monitored. At BMS Screen check the state of the Digital Input and compare against display (where applicable) on equipment being monitored. Either by closing or opening using test jumper cable, verify that the BMS receive changes of state to the Digital Input points. At BMS Screen check the state of the Digital Input (On/Off or Normal/Alarm or Open/Closed etc) If point is an alarm, confirm BMS Screen alarm. Print out alarm report for the equipment that has just been completed. Attach to Record sheet. Print out the trend report and attached to this test & commissioning report.
