The Hamad Medical Corporation operates 6 sites: 1. Hamad Medical Hospital 2. Womens Hospital 3. Al-amal hospital 4. Rumeilah Hospital 5. Pediatric emergency Hospital 6. Alkhor General Hospital Hamad General Hospital is the largest among the corporation operates. It is a large multi disciplinary institution with 750 beds and one of the leading health care providers in the city of Doha Qatar. Hamad General Hospital is JCI accredited hospital. It is a primarily health teaching hospital and covers Medical / Surgical, Pediatrics and Adult intensive care. Renal dialysis unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, Orthopedics, Urology, Day surgery unit, Accident and emergency. NICU, MICU, OB-GYNE, ENT, Plastic surgery. I worked as full time( 5 days a week with an 8 hours shift) As a Staff Nurse on a 27- bedded female surgical unit with 99% bed occupancy at any given time, Im responsible for the care of seven patient per shift. Care of Drain like: Minivac, Jackson Prats, Potomac, colostomy, illeustomy Wound assessment, Prevention of infection. Able to assess status, provide immediate and accurate measures while waiting for further intervention depending on the demand of the situation. Coordinates with other unit in quality assurance activities to facilitate safe patient care When required, take charge of the ward in the absence of the head nurse and assistant head Nurse. Documents and completes necessary pertinent to patient care, observing the principle of privacy and Confidentiality. Deals with physician with regards to patients care and responsible for the execution of physicians order, guided by the principle of medical jurisprudence. Assisting Doctors during rounds and carrying out of orders and procedures for patients. WORK EXPERIENCE: March 2002- March 2004 ARMED FORCES HOSPITAL KHAMIS MUSHAYT, SOUTHERN REGION P.O BOX 3050 KING FAHAD HOSPITAL Staff Nurse Medical Armed Forces Hospital operates two sites in southern Region: 1. King Faisal Military Hospital 2. King Farad Hospital King Fahad hospital is the biggest military hospital in Southern region with a total bed capacity of 320. WORK EXPERIENCE: JULY 1999- MARCH 2002 ABRA PROVINCIAL HOSPITAL CALABA, BANGUED ABRA PHILIPPINES Staff Nurse Abra Provincial Hospital is the only government learning hospital in the province, which covers a total bed capacity of 200 with general average of 99% bed occupancy. I was employed as casual staff nurse for three months, and then promoted as a regular staff nurses 1. As a staff nurse 1 on a 20 bedded general surgical unit, I worked as a full time with 8 hour shift for 5 days a week. The nurse patient dependency ratio was 1:8.
