ACTS 16:16-26 (NIV)
16
Once when we were going to the place of prayer,
we were met by a slave girl who had a spirit by which
she predicted the future. She earned a great deal of
money for her owners by fortune-telling.
17
This girl
followed Paul and the rest of us, shoung, These
men are servants of the Most High God, who are
telling you the way to be saved.
18
She kept this up
for many days. Finally Paul became so troubled that
he turned around and said to the spirit, In the name
of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her! At
that moment the spirit le her.
19
When the owners of the slave girl realized that their
hope of making money was gone, they seized Paul
and Silas and dragged them into the marketplace
to face the authories.
20
They brought them before
the magistrates and said, These men are Jews, and
are throwing our city into an uproar
21
by advocang
customs unlawful for us Romans to accept or pracce.
22
The crowd joined in the aack against Paul and Silas,
and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped
and beaten.
23
Aer they had been severely ogged,
they were thrown into prison, and the jailer was
commanded to guard them carefully.
24
Upon receiving
such orders, he put them in the inner cell and fastened
their feet in the stocks.
25
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and
singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were
listening to them.
26
Suddenly there was such a violent
earthquake that the foundaons of the prison were
shaken. At once all the prison doors ew open, and
everybodys chains came loose.
7:30 a.m., 11:00 a.m.
I AM ON THE BATTLEFIELD
Chorus
I am on the baleeld for my Lord
I am on the baleeld for my Lord;
And I promised Him that I would
Serve Him ll I die. I am on
The baleeld for my Lord.
Verse 1
I was alone and idle, I was a sinner too,
I heard a voice from heaven say there is
Work to do, I took the Masters hand,
And I joined the Chrisan band,
Im on the baleeld for my Lord.
Repeat chorus
Verse 2
I le my friends and kindred bound for
The Promised Land, the grace of God upon
Me, The Bible in my hand, in distant lands
I trod, crying sinner come to God, Im on
the baleeld for my Lord.
Verse 3
Now when I met my Savior, I met Him
With a smile, He healed my wounded spirit,
And owned me as His child, around the
Throne of grace, He appoints my soul a
Place, Im on the baleeld for my Lord.

EXODUS 33:12-23 (NIV)
12
Moses said to the LORD, You have been telling me,
Lead these people, but you have not let me know
whom you will send with me. You have said, I know
you by name and you have found favor with me.
13
If you are pleased with me, teach me your ways so
I may know you and connue to nd favor with you.
Remember that this naon is your people.
14
The LORD replied, My Presence will go with you,
and I will give you rest.
15
Then Moses said to him, If your Presence does not
go with us, do not send us up from here.
16
How will
anyone know that you are pleased with me and with
your people unless you go with us? What else will
disnguish me and your people from all the other
people on the face of the earth?
17
And the LORD said to Moses, I will do the very thing
you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I
know you by name.
18
Then Moses said, Now show me your glory.
19
And the LORD said, I will cause all my goodness to
pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the
LORD, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I
will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I
will have compassion.
20
But, he said, you cannot see
my face, for no one may see me and live.
21
Then the LORD said, There is a place near me where
you may stand on a rock.
22
When my glory passes by,
I will put you in a cle in the rock and cover you with
my hand unl I have passed by.
23
Then I will remove
my hand and you will see my back; but my face must
not be seen.

1 CORINTHIANS 13:12-13 (NIV)
12
Now we see but a poor reecon as in a mirror;
then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part;
then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.
13
And now these three remain: faith, hope and love.
But the greatest of these is love.

Minister: In the year of Our Lord, in the year 2012,
every three seconds a child, woman or man dies
because they do not have enough food to eat, and
more than 17 million households in America do
not have enough money to buy food. We need to
embed the prophec words of Isaiah in our hearts,
Wash ourselves clean! I am disgusted with your
lthy deeds. Stop doing wrong and learn to live
right. See that jusce is done. Defend widows and
orphans and help those in need.
People: We dare imagine a just world!
Minister: Foreclosure is likely to aect low-income
homeowners. A former banker admied the banks
targeted African American and Lano families to
intenonally charge them high mortgage rates,
knowing that their homes would go into foreclosure
while the U.S. Senate voted a $700 billion bank
bailout bill. The Bible tells us, the Lord doesnt like
it when we cheat in business. Jusce makes rulers
powerful. They should hate evil. You people are in
for trouble! You have made cruel and unfair laws
that let you cheat the poor and needy and rob
widows and orphans.
People: We dare imagine a just world!
Minister: Some college and graduate students are
over $100,000 in debt before they receive their
educaon. The top 20% of society owns 84% of
the wealth, while the rest of society owns 0.1%. As
followers of Jesus the Christ, we must work together
to rid this world of social injusces in our local,
naonal and global communies. The Book of Isaiah
reminds us, I chose you to bring jusce, and I am
here at your side. I reected and sent you to bring
light to my promise of hope to the naons. You will
give sight to the blind; you will set prisoners free
from dark dungeons
People: We dare to imagine a just world!
Minister: We thank God for our faithful ancestors
who commied their lives to work for jusce: The
Rev. Dr. Marn Luther King, Jr., Harriet Tubman,
Gandhi, Ella Baker, The Rev. Fred Shulesworth and
Fannie Lou Hamer.
People: We dare to imagine a just world!
Minister: We must unite in the spirit of God,
Our Holy Parent; speak truth to power, and work
together in love to ensure economic jusce
for all people in our local, naonal, and global
communies.
People: We dare to imagine a just world! We dare
to imagine a just world! We dare to imagine a just
world!
