No personal electronic devices (which includes but is not limited to: cell phones, music players, game consoles) are permitted to be used or out in class or in the park. No food, beverages (including flavored water) are permitted to be consumed in class. Exception: plain water. Hard candy is acceptable for colds, etc. Outer wear is only permitted for use in the park Hall passes are to be used for the following purposes: o Bathroom o Locker o Library The hall pass will be UNAVAILABLE the FIRST 10 MINUTES and the LAST 10 MINUTES of the block.

Environmental Science is a project-based, point-oriented class. The more points you earn, the higher your grade will be.
1. Projects: The major portion of your grade will be determined

by various projects. 2. Participation Points: Each student is assigned 100 points at the beginning of each marking period. These points are yours to keep if you follow the classroom guidelines and have good attendance. These points cannot be made up. 3. Classwork: Classwork will include but is not limited to: textbook questions, worksheets, project checks, etc. 4. Homework: Homework will be assigned. Most homework will consists of finishing work not completed in class 5. Tests & Quizzes: Tests and quizzes will be given. 6. Lab points for outside work: Each student gets points for a lab grade when we are outside. These points can be made up 7. Group work: There may be group grades for projects. Each student will also be graded for individual work as well within the group. 8.
