The vradmin command displays the status of a Veritas Volume Replicator (VVR) Replicated Data Set (RDS). When you run vradmin, ideally you would want it to report that data is consistent and up-to-date and that the replicated volume groups (RVG) are connected and replicating, as in the example below.
bash-3.00# vradmin -g dgmbfdbp repstatus rvg_mbfdbp Replicated Data Set: rvg_mbfdbp Primary: Host name: 10.150.150.76 RVG name: rvg_mbfdbp DG name: dgmbfdbp RVG state: enabled for I/O Data volumes: 6 VSets: 0 SRL name: srl_mbfdbp SRL size: 100.00 G Total secondaries: 1 Secondary: Host name: RVG name: DG name: Data status: Replication status: Current mode: Logging to: Timestamp Information: bash-3.00#

10.150.150.86 rvg_mbfdbp dgmbfdbp consistent, up-to-date replicating (connected) asynchronous SRL behind by 0h 0m 0s

If you get this error, you will need to bring the service group containing the specified disk group online.
bash-3.00# vradmin -g dgmbfdbp repstatus rvg_dgmbfdbp VxVM VVR vradmin ERROR V-5-52-425 Disk group dgdgmbfdbp: No such disk group.

You might get this error if VVR is still in the process of establishing a connection between the primary and secondary RVGs.
bash-3.00# vradmin -g dgmbfdbp repstatus rvg_mbfdbp VxVM VVR vradmin INFO V-5-52-1205 Primary is unreachable or RDS has configuration error. Displayed status information is from Secondary and can be out-of-date. Replicated Data Set: rvg_mbfdbp

Secondary: Host name: RVG name: DG name: Data status: Replication status: Current mode: Logging to: Timestamp Information: Last Update on Primary: Secondary up-to-date as of: bash-3.00#

10.150.150.85 rvg_mbfdbp dgmbfdbp N/A (needs recovery) not replicating (secondary needs recovery) asynchronous SRL (0 updates behind, last update ID 0.0) N/A N/A N/A

You may also see the following status information for the previous error message.
Data status: Replication status: Current mode: Logging to: Timestamp Information: Data status: Replication status: Current mode: Logging to: Timestamp Information: consistent, behind paused due to network disconnection asynchronous SRL (40 updates behind, last update ID 53479.1163637119) behind by 0h 0m 0s consistent, behind paused due to network disconnection asynchronous SRL (40 updates behind, last update ID 53479.1163637119) behind by 0h 0m 0s

This is what vradmin returns if VVR is playing catch up and it is only a little way behind.
bash-3.00# vradmin -g dgmbfdbp repstatus rvg_mbfdbp Replicated Data Set: rvg_mbfdbp Primary: Host name: 10.150.150.75 RVG name: rvg_mbfdbp DG name: dgmbfdbp RVG state: enabled for I/O Data volumes: 2 VSets: 0 SRL name: srl_mbfdbp SRL size: 25.00 G Total secondaries: 1 Secondary: Host name: RVG name: DG name: Data status: Replication status: Current mode: Logging to: Timestamp Information: bash-3.00#

10.150.150.85 rvg_mbfdbp dgmbfdbp consistent, behind replicating (connected) asynchronous SRL (567728 Kbytes behind, 2% full) behind by 0h 19m 11s

This is what vradmin returns if replication is a long way behind.

bash-3.00# vradmin -g dgmbfdbp -l repstatus rvg_mbfdbp Replicated Data Set: rvg_mbfdbp Primary: Host name: 10.150.150.73 RVG name: rvg_mbfdbp DG name: dgmbfdbp RVG state: enabled for I/O Data volumes: 2 VSets: 0 SRL name: srl_mbfdbp SRL size: 25.00 G Total secondaries: 1 Secondary:
