The front cover shows the artists name in bold/ large font going across the bottom of the central image in the conventional font that audience recognise when they see Amy Winehouse products and also in the same font the Album name 'Back To Black'. The image behind this that covers the front of the cd case is a picture of Amy Winehouse sitting in a stool with her conventional make up on and in a dress which quite revealing as Amy wear revealing clothes which show her flesh and her tattoos, she does this to challenge the conventions of soul/jazz and what the artists wear but she stick to quite a feminine image as do other female soul/jazz artists. There is also black in the background which relates to the album name. The back cover shows the same style background image as the front cover, but Amy isn't featured in this image, there is a track list showing the audience what songs are on it so they know what they are going to be listening and so they will buy it if they enjoy some of her songs that are on it. The list is written in the conventional white font as it is on the front. There is also a barcode which would make it shown that it is for sale for the audience to buy. Also it has some information about the production on the tracks on it and her website for you to subscribe to her if you enjoy her music and to follow her. Also the logos are featured of the record labels.

The front cover of this album shows the name of the Artist and the name of the album in one as Adele has chosen to call the album 'ADELE21', this is written in neat/ thin capital font which is conventional to the artist and also the genre of soul/jazz as it is feminine and stylish. The central image of the cover is a close up image of Adele which looks like she is thinking and this shows that her music will be thoughtful and emotional, it is in black and white which is typical of the genre and also looks very stylish and sophisticated, her make up in the image is very subtle and feminine as is her hair done quite classy down, this sticks to the female conventions of the image in the soul/ jazz genre. The back cover also is in black and white, it shows to the left the track list which agin is written in the conventional font related with Adele. To the right is another close up, feminine shot of Adele and at the bottom of this there is the barcode again to show the audience it is for sale if the like the music that is on it, shown in the track list. At the very bottom her website is also their for fans to subscribe and also the producers and copy write are written in small font on the bottom.

The front cover of this album has a central image of Aretha Franklin, she is not really revealing any flesh, she looks very feminine. At the top the name of the artist and the name of the album again and made into one, 'THE VERY BEST OF ARETHA FRANKLIN' and this is also written in a capital lettered feminine font. The back cover shows to the left to black and white close up shots of the artist which is conventional and to the right is the track list in the same style font. Also the barcode and producers are shown the back to show its for sale to the audience who enjoy this music from this artist produces in the soul/jazz genre.
