EXPERIENCE Owner Chief Consultant [2002-2004] (Continued) Oversight of design and complete interior renovations for 400 key ex isting hotel. Project valued at US $54 million. Completed project and returned to the United States. PHOENIXTEC ENGINEERING CO., LTD. / Taipei, Taiwan, R.O.C. Chief Construction Management Consultant [1998-2002] Hired through Peck/Jones International / Archasia Design Group JV to train senio r corporate construction personal in construction management practices and deliv ery systems including Agency CM, Independent Contractor CM with a GMP; single an d multi-prime deliveries. Consulting services included every discipline of const ruction management from preconstruction services, quantity survey and estimating , time management, value engineering, trade-off studies, modeling, life-cycle co sting, administrative services, quality management, cost management and delivery systems. Projects oversight during training totaled US $630M. A one year contract turned into four years. MORGAN CENTER / Beijing, China Director Peck/Jones International / Archasia JV [1996-1998] Peck/Jones International/Archasia Design Group JV was hired to perform full prec onstruction services for the Morgan Center (Gateway to the Olympics)and the head quarters of Morgan Guarantee China Corp. Project consisted of mixed-use totaling 11.0 millon sq.ft. of office, condominium, shoppingbotiques with parking and su pport facilities on a common podium at a value of US $1.1B. Preconstruction serv ices were completed and the project was constructed. P.O.S.F. HOUSING DEVELOPMENT & CONSTRUCTION / Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea Managing Director Peck/Jones International/CMS [1996-1998] Total responsibility for managing design and construction of site development in cluding sewerage treatment plant, site utilities, earthwork and construction of 5,000 single family homes for employees of the Public Officers Superannuation Fu nd. Due to a change in political parties, the project was prevented from moving forward and was abandoned. The estimated value of the project was US $52.7M PECK/JONES CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION / Los Angeles, California Executive Vice President / Special Projects [1991-1996] Responsible for reorganization and down sizing of company after purchase of Peck Construction and multiple special projects, many of which I marketed, closed, c ontracted for, bid out trades and managed through oversite of division. Projects in this division were located in Chicago, Illinois, throughout the State of Cal ifornia and Western Nevada. Started a new construction company to build custom homes for select customers and during this time was asked to negotiate the const ruction for the Inn of the Anassazzi. That project was awarded the -Internationa l Small Luxury Hotel of the Year-. Sold this company for a reasonable profit. The company specialized in commercial, ins titutional and specialty interior works. WELTON BECKET INTERNATIONAL / Beijing, China Construction Manager [1980-1983] On-site manager of construction 1007 key Great Wall Hotel. This was the first ma jor project with a North American based company since the Cultural Revolution. R esponsibilities included oversight of Chinese Construction Contractor #6, interf ace with design and construction departments of both companies, maintaining good relations with our JV Partner; China International Travel Service at the field level, negotiating revisions, resolving design constructability issues, mitigati ng means and methods differences with a special emphasis on quality control.
