Synopsis The poem is a translated version of the original. It is a monologue of an old war hero. He has fought hard for the countrys independence. But he is now too old and weak, confined to his wheelchair. He does not have the strength and energy to continue fighting for the country. The country is facing many challenges where the net of deceit spread everywhere and it worries him. He calls upon the younger generation to take his place and be courageous (brave) enough to stand up and speak up. This group of young people will be the new hope and the new voice to fight for the country. These are the new heirs of independence who would replace the old fighters like him who have served their time and now have lost their voice, I have no voice. It is now up to the younger generation to protect this freedom they have inherited and be ready to face all the challenges with bravery.
