Ms. Tamanna Chaturvedi is an Assistant Professor of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade at New Delhi. Her areas of research include International Trade and ICT, WTO & Trade Policy issues and Agricultural Economics.

DePARTMenT oF coMPuTeR APPLIcATIons The Department of Computer Applications is imparting knowledge in the areas of Computer Applications to students by class room based teaching, practical sessions in the computing lab, course work, record work, seminar and project work. The Department has its roots from the year 1985 and it is one of the well known departments in the field of computer applications education and research. The Department emphasizes a shift from mass teaching to personalized instruction, single learning to multiple learning, rigid daily programme to flexible schedules, training in formal skills and knowledge, isolated contents to interrelated, memorial answers to case-study based problem solving. The thrust areas of research in the Department of Computer Applications are Concurrent Engineering Information Systems, Knowledge Management, Soft Computing, Data Mining, Bio-inspired Computing, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Image Compression and Very Large Databases. ABouT ToPIc This seminar would address the topics such as how to do research in computer? Why to do research? What are the computer application topics for research?.
