What is QK SMTP Server

Main Features
Add binding IP to server function. If the user has only one network card, his IP includes the default IP 127.0.0.1 and LAN or WAN IP; If he has two or more than two network cards, his IP will be more. The binding IP to server function can access IP control. Only the binding IP can access. History log can look up mails' particular log and sending failure record. Installation and Un-installation

Installing QK SMTP SERVER:
Please follow these steps to install QK SMTP SERVER on your system: Double click smtpserver.exe. Follow the instructions in the Install Wizard.
Uninstalling QK SMTP SERVER:
Please follow these steps to remove QK SMTP SERVER from your system: Click 'Start > Program Files > QK SMTP Server' and select 'Uninstall'. Follow the instructions in the Uninstall Wizard.

Starting the program

You can start QK SMTP Server by clicking on the corresponding icon on the Start Menu or double click on QK SMTP Server.exe.
QK SMTP Server will automatically start service when it runs. You may also configure auto-start settings by manually.

Settings Program Settings
Auto run at Windows startup. Select this box if you want start SMTP SERVER automatically when Windows starts. Auto start service when program startup. Select this box if you want start SMTP SERVER automatically when QK SMTP SERVER starts. Minimize to system tray at program startup. Select this box if you want QK SMTP SERVER to minimize to system tray when it starts. Show tips at program startup.

Select this box if you want QK SMTP SERVER show tips when it starts Minimize to system tray. Select this box if you want to minimize QK SMTP SERVER to system tray when click minimum button Enable Hotkey for showing/hiding main form. Select these boxes if you want to use hotkeys to show/hide main form of QK SMTP SERVER.

Settings - Basic Parameter
Binding: Binding IP to server: If the user has only one network card, his IP includes the default IP 127.0.0.1 and LAN or WAN IP; If he has two or more than two network cards, his IP will be more. The binding IP to server function can access IP control. Only the binding IP can access. Server port : Listening port, the default port is 25 Hostname for HELO/EHLO: The name of your computer for HELO/EHLO, the default Hostname is A. Authorization:

Authorize personal information. It's corresponding with account settings. You have to input the same username and password if you select checking SMTP server authorization in account settings. Send notify message back : Send notify message when delivery failed.

Add: Add a server authentication user account. Modify: Modify server authentication user account information. Delete: Delete a server authentication user account. Delete all: Delete all the server authentication user accounts

Settings - Access IP Control
The settings under this tab allows you to control IP address access right, either allow or deny.
Top/Bottom: Move to the top/bottom of the IP list. Up/Down: Up/down the IP in the IP list. Delete: Delete chosen IP segment. Add:

Add new IP segment. Modify: Modify exist IP segment. Delete all: Delete all the IP segments.
Tips: Click F2 can quick change IP address access right between Allow and Deny. Or just click on it, can change them too.

Settings - Domain Name Parameter
Send directly to recipients' server: E.g.: when a recipients mail address is XXX@hotmail, QK will directly submit mail to hotmail' server. This is the most reliable and recommended sending mode. Delivery via relay SMTP server: Generally, "delivery via relay SMTP server" mode is always used by the senders who can not directly submit mails to the recipients' server. Generally, the "successful delivery" hint given by relay SMTP server just tells if the mails have been successfully delivered to your ISP, but can't know if the mails have been successfully delivered to your

recipients' mailbox. QK offers more detailed log that notes which steps the sending failed. QK also can send multi-mails at the same time.
Direct delivery retry attempts Set the retry attempts which directly submit to the recipients. When the senders know that it is impossible for the recipients to receive the mails via "directly sending" mode, he can set the retry attempts to 0, i.e.: choose the "Delivery via relay SMTP server" mode Relay delivery retry attempts Set the retry attempts which delivery via SMTP server Maximum connections: The maximal numbers of mails which can be connected to a certain server at one time. Delay after failed seconds It is possible for the network reason, the delivery failed. Set "delay between retries" can improve the sending efficiency. When certain mail is failed, the latter mails will be aheaded when doing the delay process, the speed and efficiency of mail sending will be improved. Maximum continuous connections The continuous delivery times of sending mails to one domain name. As default, the maxiumum continuous connections is 5. You can continuly send 5 mails to one domain name such as hotmail.com without relay between them. Delay for continuing in seconds Delay between continuous deliver.

Settings - Relay Server Settings
Add or modify transmit server information:
Top/Bottom: Move to the top/bottom of the server list. Up/Down: Up/down the server in the server list. Delete: Delete chosen server. Add: Add new server.

Settings - DNS servers
It needs use the DNS server to resolve the domain name of the recipients' address when directly deliver, so please input valid DNS servers in "User DNS Servers", Each lines matches with one DNS server address, and the lines are not limited on quantity. The premier DNS server will be used firstly, so please put faster and steadier one in the front. If you don't input DNS Server or User DNS servers are all invalid, QK SMTP Server will use the default System DNS Servers to resolve E-mail address.

History Log
History log: can look up mails' sending failure record. Once you send the log to us, we can assist you quickly find the failure reason.

Queue
QK SMTP Server allows you to view and manage email delivery and receiving status. You can empty all the delivery and receiving logs as well as exporting email addresses. Export E-mail Addresses: You can export the recipients' email addresses to a .txt file. View Log : View mail queue and delivery logs. Delete: Delete the selected record. Empty:

How do Mail Client Software Work With QK SMTP Server

It's very easy to set Mail Client Software to work with QK SMTP Server. Set outgoing SMTP setting to the binding IP. (Following was based on binding IP 127.0.0.1) That's all!

How does Outlook Express Work with QK SMTP Server
In Outlook Express, go to Tools and select Accounts... In Internet Accounts, select Mail. Click Properties (highlight in red circle).

Select Servers, here what you need to do is just to change the Outgoing mail(SMTP) to 127.0.0.1 If you select my server requires authentication, you should input the corresponding username and password with Run Settings in QK SMTP Server.
Now you can send mails via QK SMTP Server and enjoy its consummate server.

How does Eudora Work with QK SMTP Server
In Eudora, go to Tools and select Options....

In the Options window, you will see several icons on the left. Select Getting Started(highlight in blue). In the SMTP Server (Outgoing) field, change the SMTP or Outgoing mail server that was given to you by your Internet Service Provider to the localhost 127.0.0.1. For example: smtp-sever.eudoramail.com --> 127.0.0.1

If you select Allow authentication here, you shall input the corresponding username and password with Run Settings in QK SMTP Server. Click OK. Now you can send mails via QK SMTP Server at a high speed and get the correct and instant feedback.

How does The Bat! Work with QK SMTP Server

In The Bat!, go to Account and select Properties...
In the Account Properties Window, you can see many icons in the left, select Transport (highlight in blue). In SMTP Server field (highlight in green circle ), change the SMTP or Outgoing mail server that was given to you by your Internet Service Provider to the localhost 127.0.0.1.

Now you can send mails via QK SMTP Server and enjoy its rapid speed. If you select Authentication (highlight in red circle) and set Perform SMTP Authentication, you will have to input the corresponding username and password with Run Settings in QK SMTP Serve. Then you can send mails via QK SMTP Server.

How does IncrediMail Work with QK SMTP Server

In IncrediMail, go to Tools and select Accounts...
In Mail Accounts, click one account and select Properties.

Select Servers, set Outgoing mail server to 127.0.0.1 . If you select My server requires authentication, you shall input the corresponding username and password with Run Settings in QK SMTP Server.
In Advanced, you shall input the same port number in Outgoing mail(SMTP) with Run Setting in QK SMTP Server.
