Xtenda Multi Box

X300 PCI Card

1. Install HostX300 PCI Card the on the PC

step 1 Turn off the computer and then remove the computer cover. step 2 Insert the Xtenda PCI card and tighten the screw. step 3 Close the computer cover.

step 1 Installation of Xtenda Bus Enumerator. step 2 Installation of Graphic Controller for Port 1 of PCI card. step 3 Installation of Graphic Controller for Port 2 of PCI card. step 4 Installation of Graphic Controller for Port 3 of PCI card.

2. ConnectLAN PCI Card to Multi Box the using a cable

Using standard LAN cable* of 16ft(5m) or longer may affect the video quality of Multi Box. It is recommended to use Category 6 LAN cable to achieve the best video quality.

5. Xtenda Management Console installation

(Details at the back)

Type the serial number and the activation key for every Xtenda Multi Box.

*LAN cable refer to CAT 5e or CAT 6 cable

3. Connect the peripheral devices to Multi Box

Please use the Direct LAN cable*. Please do not connect to any network devices.
* The Direct LAN cable is that the order of line color at both sides of the connector is the same. the order of line color at both sides of connector is the same.

- A speaker with bulid-in booster is recommeded.

After finishing installing the Xtenda hardware, flip to back for installing the Xtenda software.

Xtenda Management Console Installation

Please make sure that the host computer and the Multi Box are connected correctly before installing the drivers and software.

Installation of Xtenda Management Console

1 After installing the PCI Card drivers please execute the Install.exe file which is located in the root folder of the Installation CD.

The peripheral device must be connected to the PCI Card and the Multi Box in order to use the Xtenda product before installing the driver and management console. Both hardware and software must be installed to use the Xtenda product.

Installation of X300 PCI Card driver

1 Turn on the computer. Click "Next" in the prompted "Hardware Update Wizard window.

2 Click on the Install Program button. 3 Input the administrator password twice to prevent the unauthorized access to the Xtenda Management Console.

2 Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive and click the "Install X300 PCI Card Driver" button in the pop-up menu. 3 Click "Finish" to finish the installation of the X300 PCI Card driver.

4 Input the serial number and the activation key written on the back of the Multi Box.

5 Select "Yes, I want to restart my computer now." and click on the "Restart" button to complete the installation.

Installation of Xtenda Graphic Controller

1 Select "No, not this time" and click "Next" in the prompted "Hardware Update Wizard" window.

2 Wait for the installation of the Xtenda Graphic Controller to be completed. 3 The screen of the host PC will flicker for a short time. Click the "Finish" button in the prompted window to complete the installation of the graphic controller driver.

Resolution 1024 x 768 / 16 bit colors / Refresh rate 60 Hz Resolution 800 x 600 / 16 bit colors / Refresh rate 75 Hz

Recommended Specifications of the Host Computer

One X300 PCI Card - CPU : Intel Pentium4 1.3 ~ 2.4GHz with HT* - Main Memory : 512 Mbytes or more
*HT : Intel Hyper-Threading Technology

Two X300 PCI Cards - CPU : Intel Pentium4 2.4 ~ 3.8GHz with HT* - Main Memory : 1.0 Gbytes or more

This material may vary depending on the specification of the products and may change without prior notice. Each port of Xtenda PCI Card have to be installed separately. Therefore you have to install the Xtender Graphic Controller three times in order to use all ports of the PCI Card.
