CP-690 For Optimum Functionality

Bright & Clear
Nideks CP-690 Chart Projectors original stable power source is not affected by fluctuating changes in voltage. The new CP-690 offers the industrys first bright, constant-intensity optical system. Thanks to this unique feature, the CP-690 allows highly accurate measurement, free of inconsistent illumination. The durable halogen lamp and auto-off feature also provide excellent operating cost efficiency.

Faster, Silent Operation

Changing of charts is quietly accomplished in 0.2 seconds-almost twice as fast as the previous model-- with no image vibration. The CP-690s special mortar with highly sensitive remote controller provides silent, speedy operation.

Easy Maintenance
The convenient quick-change halogen lamp cover allows lamp replacement in a singlehanded operation.

Automatic Refraction System

The CP-690 can be synchronized with Nidek automatic refraction systems (RT-2100, COS-1500) for smooth, spacesaving operation. When synchronized, charts can be operated from the systems control box.

Programmed Operation
Charts can be presented in a predetermined order. Up to three programs can be customized, including the preset program. Once the desired sequence of frequently-used exam procedures has been programmed, each chart is presented with a simple touch of the Next button.

Variable Light Intensity

With the industrys first variable light intensity function, the CP-690s chart intensity can be changed according to each countrys regulation and measurement distance.

Ultimate Control
Charts can be randomly selected with the wireless remote control unit. The remote control code selection feature allows simultaneous operation of 8 projectors. The luminescent chart selection buttons make the unit easy to use, even in a dark room.

A Red/Green filter covers the presented chart.

Vertical single line mask

Versatile Chart Types

Each chart type has 33 images (27 images on UK type), including 3-D charts to permit precise measurement of binocular visual acuity. All chart image selections are conveniently projected on the remote control; a single push of a button projects the selected chart. The VA value on the projected chart can be also projected.
Right/Left Slide Button
While presenting the chart with a vertical line or a single letter mask, the mask can be slid to right or left on the same VA line.

Horizontal single line mask

Up/Down Slide Button

VA line can be shifted higher or lower while presenting the chart with vertical, horizontal or single letter masks.

CP-690 Remote Controller & Charts

P type
The Snellen chart utilizes a LogMAR step chart for determining visual acuity (VA) of 0.05-2.0, allowing a more accurate estimation of treatment efficacy. VA of 0.7 and 0.9 have been added to reduce the gap between decimal step charts.

Snellen and Numbers charts are both decimal step charts of visual acuity (VA) of 0.05 -1.5. There is more than one chart for VA 1.0 and they switch automatically.

U type
Visual acuity (VA) is indicated in 20/400 - 20/10, and the VA chart is displayed on the basis of the U.S. standard. In addition to the 4 types of VA charts, the U chart also features an illustration of an eyeball.
