ANNUAL NEWSLETTER OF KWS LONDON

For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6) THE KUKI WORSHIP SERVICE, LONDON WISH YOU A MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND HAPPY AND PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR 2012.

We thank God for the year of 2011 and for the Kuki Worship Services. The KWS London was blessed so much this year with new initiatives; we were able to do regularly monthly services and all of our members tried very hard to attend every fellowship. New Website: Johnny Haolai has been working on our website and is now currently up to date. See more information at www.kwslondon.com The 4th Anniversary: KWS London was inaugurated by Pi Kim Telien (Hausa pi) at St Georges Vicarage, East Ham on 8th July 2007. We had arranged special celebrations such as outings to Bournemouth Beach which was able to take place in July. We really enjoyed that day as a fellowship, you can tell from the photo below:

New Arrivals: {1}. Abigail Haokip: Abigail is third child of Revd Philip Zamhao and Mrs Nengpi, born on 27th November 2011. {Revd Philip Zamhao is the Chairman of KWSL}, Abigail is now 8 pounds 11 ounces (See photo bellow). {2}. Limmy Khongsai: She is first child of Mr Kailean and Mrs Kim Khongsai and was born on 24th December (see photo below). Big congratulations to them.

New Ph D holder: Revd Jangkholam Haokip (or J Lamboi) completed his PhD in June 2011 from the University of Aberdeen, entitled: A Theological Study of Identity Among the Tribal people of North-East India with A Special Reference to the Kukis of Manipur. He graduated on the 5th of July. He is the first Kuki from India to receive a Ph D in Christian Theology from a British University. New Work Permit: Lamneichong Chongloi graduated with an MBA from the University of Wales and recently she received Post Study Work Permit. We Thank God for this. She is currently working at London City AirPort. Monica H Haokip joined University in September and she is reading Law at Hatfield Campus of the University of Hertfordshire.

Supporting KWS {KL}: Young people are showing their support for Kuki Worship Service (KL), we have raised over 200 Ringgit. Haosapu and Housapi: Hausa pu and pi {Pu Paokhup and Pi Kim Telien} visited Pastor pu and pi {David and Tinnu} in beginning of December (see photo above). We had a lovely time catching up. Both are older but still very active in their local church and community. I ask that you all keep them in your prayers. They are strong pillars of our communitys initiatives since inception of Kut and KWS. Good Bye and New Arrival in UK: We said our farewells to Pagin Chongloi in September, he returned after he finished his cause MBA. He is now working in New Delhi. A few days ago we also said our good byes to Revd Robert Vaiphei who finished his study MA in Theology. He will teaching at ETC, Lamka. Big

congratulations to him and we send Gods blessings to both of them. But we are happy to welcome Gogou Chongloi, our newest member since September; he is currently studying business in Luton. KWS Wider Membership: KWS London became a member of the East Asia Diaspora Ministry {UK} where Canon David T Haokip is an executive member and also we are listed under the Asian Ministry Directory 2011{UK}. Thank God for this development. Condolence: Neihlams elder brother is now with the Lord, this happened during December. Please remember Neihlam and her family in prayers and thoughts. KWS Khanglai 2011, Shillong: Pastor Canon Dr David T Haokip attended Khanglai 2011. KSO Shillongs Golden Jubilee and Khanglai 2011 were celebrated together, over thousands of people attended. He gave a paper on KWS in 21sst Century and had a privilege to give a sermon there. It was a very successful occasion. See below for photo of some of the leaders of Khanglai 2011.

Mary Mangte and Aler Kilong Kom: Well-known Boxer Mrs Mary Mangte Kom and her husband Aler visited London for the final selection of the Olympic 2012 in November. Our Pastor and Secretary Lien Gangte were able to welcome them on behalf of KWS at the Primer Inn Hotel (see photo above). Christmas Celebration 2011: We had a wonderful Christmas Celebration. Few friends visited us so we were roughly about 30 people. There were group song competitions (the groups were separated depending on the members background, we had Sadar Hills, Churachandpur, Nagaland and the Burmese group, and the Nagaland group came first. We also had ten members participant for the Solo Competition and Philip Zamhao got the prize!! Furthermore The Sadar Hills group won first prize for Bible Quiz and gifts exchanged was very enjoyable. The Judges for these competitions were Monica, Josh, Gina and Lee (known as the British team), and some more games were played. We attended the main services at St Georges (mid night service and Christmas day service) where Pastor David is Sr Minister. We ended with very enjoyable Lenkhom. We thank Daniel Haokip for generous donation for food and drinks! Prayer points: 1. Our 5th Anniversary: Please remember in your thoughts and prayers for 2012 which is our 5th year Anniversary. 2. Simon D Haokip: Simon is waiting for his visa from the Home office. Keep him in your prayers. 3. Lien Gangte is on holiday to Manipur, India. Pray for a mercy journey and safe return. 4. Let us praise and thank God for what He has done in our KWS Ministry 2011 and pray for 2012 to be a blessed and prosperous year in our community.
