Subject: Regulation of the allowances etc., not covered by the Punjab Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2009 and other circulars issued by the State Government.

Sir/Madam, I am directed to invite a reference to the Punjab Civil Services (Revised Pay) Rules, 2009 notified, - vide No.5/10/09-5FPI/ 207, dated, the 27th May, 2009 and Punjab Civil Services (Revised Pay) First Amendment Rules, 2009 notified, - vide No.5/10/09-5FPI/ 339, dated, the 29th July, 2009, Punjab Govt. Notification No. 4/ 7/ 09-2FP1/ 374 Dated 12.08.09 and Notification No. 5/60/09-1FP1/379, dated 12.08.09 vide which House Rent Allowance and Medical Allowance respectively have revised on the subject citied above. 2. As the revision of certain other allowances is yet to be done by the State Government and may take some time, the Governor of Punjab is pleased to decide that till revision of remaining allowances etc. is notified, such allowances etc. shall continue to be allowed at the existing rates with reference to the existing pre-revised scales of pay, subject to adjustment in the due course when the same are revised/ fixed. 3. The decision contained in this circular may kindly be promptly brought to the notice of all concerned for strict compliance so as to ensure that no over/ under payments are made in any case.
