MSC.Nastran Generative
OVERVIEW MSC.Nastran Generative (GPN) enhances the CATIA simulation portfolio of application by enabling the seamless use of MSC.Nastran as the preferred finite element analysis solver. The application is fully generative and access to MSC.Nastran capabilities is completely transparent to the user. Those users requiring data files for archival or other needs can easily add MSC.Nastran Gateway to their configuration. With MSC.Nastran Generative you can Standardize on a single FEA solver for their design and simulation requirements, enabling reduced risk factors and substantial savings in the internal costs associated with multiple simulation tools. Increase use of simulation and reduced lifecycle costs including manufacturing and direct MRO costs. Standardize on a single environment and graphical user interface. Use the powerful MSC.Nastran solver without requirement for expertise or knowledge of data formats, and within a complete designer environment. MSC.visualNastran V5i products are developed using the CAA application architecture and complement Dassault Systemes suite of CATIA V5 Analysis products. MSC.Nastran Gateway is complementary to MSC.Nastran Generative. It provides customers with the ability to directly interface with their existing corporate simulation resources, and exchange and archive associated simulation data.

Input and Output data description

Input: For the initial release, the following entities will be supported. Frequency Case will be supported in the update release. Some of the capabilities require functionality supported in CATIA V5 to become active (e.g.: with GAS installed, the product supports assemblies and the related connectivity defined here). The goal is to support all GPS, GAS, FMS, and EST functionality in this product as soon as possible.
