THE RUBBISH EATERS

Narrator 1: On a beautiful sunny day Mike was walking in the forest when he saw something strange Papyrus: We need to do something. Human beings are destroying our planet. There are less trees in the forest, the water is more contaminated, the air is filled with pollution. We cant live here! Superplastic: But, what can we do? We are only three rubbish eaters. Its impossible to clean all the rubbish that people throw away everyday. Glassy: We need help. Why dont we tell human beings to help us? Theyre the most responsable for this contamination. They must help us. Narrator 2: Suddenly, Mike stumbled and he fell down. Mike: Oh God! Whats that? Papyrus: Hello, whats your name? Mike: Mmm, Mike. But, who are you? Are you aliens? Papyrus: Ha, ha, ha!! Aliens? Not at all! Im Papyrus, a rubbish eater. I love eating paper. Come with me, Ill introduce you to my friends. Narrator 3: Mike was so surprised. He couldnt believe his eyes. Papyrus: Friends! This is Mike. Come on introduce yourselves. Superplastic: Hello! Im Superplastic. I hate eating plastic but I dont like eating paper. Glassy: Hi buddy! Im Glassy. I hate eating plastic or paper. My favourite dish is glass! My teeth are very strong and sharp. Papyrus: You know what? Mike thought we were aliens. Superplastic: Ha, ha, ha! Aliens! You must be kidding! We are rubbish eaters, we love rubbish. People need a clean world and we can help them.

Glassy: But, we have problems. The planet is too contaminated. We need help to clean the world. Mike: Its true. We have to be more responsible and considerate with our world. Plants, trees and animals are damaged and its our fault. Superplastic: Why dont we work together to get a better world? Papyrus: Thats a good idea. But, how can we do that? Mike: I can ask my classmates to come to the forest and clean up all this rubbish. Then, we can go to other dirty places and all together we can avoid the damage to our environment. What do you think? Glassy: We think its a brilliant idea. Lets come together and save the world! Narrator 4: Mike was so exicted to help the rubbish eaters. He asked his classmates to go with him and clean the world. Firstly, the organized some groups. They discussed the solutions in an assembly. Mike: Lets see what we can do to save our planet! Tell me your ideas, please. Tom: We can clean the rubbish in the forests. Maggie: We can produce less contamination. We can recycle cans, plastic, papers and glass. Do you know the three magic words, friends? Recyle, reduce and reuse. Julie: Also, we can save water. For example, we can have a shower, not a bath. Mike: We are the heroes of the contamination. Everyone: Be a hero, recycle!

SONG: BE A HERO, RECYCLE! Recycle means to use again So we can reduce the amount of waste Lets have zero waste, come and join the race Reycle is the world! Recycling, recycling, lets come together, start recycling. Recycling, recycling, lets come together and save the world. RECYCLE Lets come together and save the world. BE A HERO, RECYCLE!

Narrator 5: After the assembly, they started to develop their solutions. Firstly, they went to the forest where the rubbish eaters were. When Mikes friends saw them they were excited and a little bit frightened. Glassy: Hi, guys! Thank you for coming. Papyrus: Its a pleasure to meet you. Superplastic: Lets start to save the world! Papyrus: Remember! There are different bins for rubbish. The blue bin is for papers. The yellow bin is for plastic and cans and the green bin is for glass. Ok? Everyone: Yes. Lets clean the world! Narrator 6: They started to clean the forest. While they were cleaning everything they sang a nice rap. RAP: Wake up, get up, stand up Its time to clean the forest up Run, Run, Run, lets pick the rubbish up

Dan: Look at the trees and plants! They can breathe now. Mike: Good work, friends! Narrator 7: Mike and his friends were really happy with the work they had done. Narrator 8: Also, the rubbish eaters were so glad to have a better world thanks to their help. Glassy: Thank you very much. Papyrus: Recycling helps us to have a clean planet without pollution or contamination. Superplastic: Dont damage our world. Look after it!. Its very easy.
