From the following particulars of PQR Company. Calculate EPS, Operating & Financial Leverages. The companys current sales revenue is Rs. 15, 00,000 & Sales are expected to increase by 25%. Rs. 9,00,000 incurred on variable expenses for generating Rs. 15,00,000 sales revenue. The fixed cost is Rs. 2, 50,000. The company has Rs. 20, 00,000 Equity Share Capital and Rs.20,00,000, 10% Debt Capital. Face Value of Equity Shares is Rs. 10 & Tax Rate applicable is 50%. Comment on the Operating & Financial Leverages in the existing & new situation.

V.

Paramount Products Ltd. Wants to raise Rs. 100 lakhs for a diversification project. Current estimate of EBIT from the new projects is Rs. 22 lakhs per annum. Cost of debt will be 15% for amounts up to and including Rs. 40 lakhs, 16% for additional amounts up to and including Rs. 50 lakhs and 18% for additional amounts above Rs. 50 lakhs. The equity shares (face value Rs.10 of the company have a current market value of Rs. 40. This is expected to fall to Rs. 32 if debts exceeding Rs. 50 lakhs are raised.
