TECHANICAL DATA SHEET

Sripol CA-SB66 / Sripol CH-SB75

DESCRIPTION
Sripol CA-SB66/ Sripol CH-SB75 is a solvent based two component polyurethane adhesive system consisting of a polyurethane base Sripol CA-SB66 and a polyisocyanate hardener Sripol CH-SB75

APPLICATION
Sripol CA-SB66/ Sripol CH-SB75 is recommended for making flexible laminates for packaging of detergent shampoo, edible oils, spices, soap wrappers, etc. Laminates made with this adhesive offer excellent chemical and heat resistance with high bond & seal strength in intended laminate structures. Laminating substrates used are PET, BOPP, LLDPE, ALUMINIUM FOIL, MET PET / MET BOPP, PAPER, PAPER BOARD etc.

FDA STATUS
Sripol CA-SB66/ Sripol CH-SB75 can be used to make laminates for packaging of food items in accordance with regulation 21CFR (Code of Federal Regulation) Section 175.105 of Food and Drug Administration, USA.

MIXING RATIO
The adhesive and additive must be mixed in the ratio prior to use: 100 parts by weight Sripol CA-SB66 to 10 parts by weight Sripol CH-SB75

DILUTION
It is recommended that the mixed adhesive be diluted to a solids content of 30 to 45 percent using moisture free Urethane grade solvents such as Ethyl Acetate, Methyl Ethyl Ketone or Acetone

CYLINDER SPECIFICATIONS
150 lines per inch for 2-3 GSM dry coating. Cylinder should be electronically etched. Ensure that a sufficient quantity of adhesive is deposited and the adhesive coating is uniform and continuous at all times.

PRE-TREATMENT OF FILMS
All the Polyolefin films must be treated prior to lamination & treated surface to be used for lamination. The recommended treatment level is 38-40 dynes per centimeter to achieve minimum required surface wettability level.

DEPOSIT WEIGHT
A minimum of 2.0 -2.5 GSM of dry adhesive solids is recommended to achieve good results in final cured laminate. However for specific application like in thicker / porous substrates (such as paper & board),higher GSM coating of dry adhesive is recommended.

Substrates
Unprinted or lightly webs Heavily printed webs or thicker substrates

Recommended Dry Adhesive Deposit

CURING TIME
Good bond strength is achieved immediately after lamination. Laminates can be further processed after 12 -24 hours of initial lamination. However the optimum chemical & thermal resistance develops within 8 to 10days.

POT LIFE
It is recommended to mix small quantity of adhesive so that mixed adhesive can be used with in 8-hrs time.Material kept overnight is best used after mixing with an equivalent quantity of fresh adhesive solution. However if any gel or agglomerates appears in mixed adhesive than this should be discarded.

STORAGE
The adhesive and additive must not be stored in direct sunlight or near flame or spark sources. In the original unopened, undamaged container, the adhesive and additive have a shelf life of at least nine months

PACKAGING
Sripol CA-SB66 is available in 220 Kg HMHDPE Barrels and Sripol CH-SB75 in 5.0&10Kg HMHDPE container.Non standard packaging can be considered to facilitate the needs of customers whose requirement justify such packaging
