The lesson plan need not necessarily follow the sequence of the book. Here, it is up to the teacher to realign the topics as he/she sees fit, with regards to the composition of students in the class. It is advisable to incorporate appropriate audio-video materials like documentary films, Plays, movies, listening practice CDs, songs (karaoke version), news reports, newspapers, periodicals and magazines etc; to be used as teaching/learning materials in the lesson plan throughout the course. At the end of each dialogue practice session, the teacher should provide additional vocabulary input : nouns & verbs, relevant to the topic under discussion. It is important to create an informal, stress-free, and lively environment conducive for interactive learning. The teacher should demonstrate the enthusiasm, passion and commitment to impart knowledge, and in most cases the students will reciprocate by generating more desire and motivation to learn and to strive for progress. It is proper to advise students that they should have the patience to practice, only then, theyll make good progress.
