Working to improve traffic flow along the GSP Further to the issue of congestion in the Pascack Valley, a committee was formed consisting of Mayor Sobkowicz, Councilman Joe D Urso and currently three area residents. Calling themselves the GSP 168/171 Action Committee, the group is focused on building public awareness and publicizing ways to improve traffic flow along the Garden State Parkway corridor and is open to residents of all area towns. Located in Emerson, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa had its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Dec. 22. This location is the first one in Bergen County and the 20th in the state of New Jersey. Massages, facials and waxes can be done at Hand & Stone at reasonable prices and they even have their own signature massage specialty. This specialty is called the hot stone massage, which is a massage not done with the hands, but rather a smooth stone that feels great with its smooth and warm nature. Owners Jeff and Ken Silbert are very excited to be in Emerson, which is the first town in North Jersey to serve host to this spa franchise that will eventually land in nine other North Jersey towns. We love it, said Jeff Silbert. Were excited about Emerson. We think its a great family town. We think its a fabulous town and the adjoining towns are great and were looking to be a part of this community for the next 10, 20, 30 years. For more information contact Hand & Stone at (201) 483-9530 or visit them at 494 Kinderkamack Road in Emerson or online at www.handandstone.com.
