GENERAL
The TH60DH is a mid-weight, truck-powered, hydraulic top-head drive drill rig. It is designed for waterwell and other applications requiring air or mud rotary and down hole hammer drilling methods. The drill is suitable for drilling 127 to 305 mm holes but can drill up to 508 mm and handle up to 483 mm diameter casing. The rig is factory mounted on a Peterbilt 367 truck or an optional International Paystar 5900i.

FuLL PowER
Power is supplied from the truck engine through the transfer case. The transfer case has three output shafts. One shaft powers the rear wheels for road travel, one shaft powers a pump drive gear box for the hydraulic pumps, and one shaft powers the air compressor. Power to drill or transport the rig is engaged or disengaged with air shifters which are controlled from the truck cab. The air compressor engage/disengage control is located on the operators control panel. The transfer case is equipped with a lubricant oil cooler.

FEED SYSTEM
The TH60DH uses a twin cylinder cable feed system. The feed cylinders are connected to the head with pre-stretched cables to transmit pullback and pulldown. Long cable and sheave life is ensured by using 622 mm nylon-composite sheaves with a D:d ratio of 28:1 between sheave and 22 mm cable. RETRACTABLE TABLE
Retracted by one 89 mm bore x 254 mm stroke hydraulic cylinder. Table Opening: Full 508 mm diameter in the closed position with bushings removed. Depending on carousel diameter, either 381 mm or 508 mm opening along the tower is available. Table Base: Consists of two half plates. The rear half retracts and the front half is hinged to swing out to enable handling of large tools or casing. Holding Wrench: An air-operated wrench that fits the drill pipe flats is standard.

CARouSEL
Contained in the derrick in a fixed position; rotated by hydraulic motor in both directions from the console. Rotary head retracts to load/unload the drill pipe. Depending on carousel option either 381 mm or 508 mm opening along the tower is available. PIPE RACK
Mounted on the left. side of the deck, this storage rack holds sixteen 89 mm x 6 m drill pipe or twelve 114 mm x 6 m drill pipe. A pipe slide is included as standard equipment. Standoff ribs at the end of the pipe rack allow for convenient use of the sling and hook.

BREAKouT wRENCH
Hydraulic Cylinder: 89 mm bore x 254 mm stroke, 38 mm rod diameter hydraulic cylinder The cylinder operates a self-adjusting, cam-action breakout wrench that is included with the standard rig and is suitable for 89 mm and 114 mm OD diameter drill pipe.

Lifting Capacity: 1 361 kg average capacity (1 020 kg full drum capacity) Speed Up/Down: 91 m/min. average speed, no free fall Cable Capacity: 457 m x 7 mm Mounted on the lower rear of the derrick for handling of survey tools, casing, drill pipe and tools. Carries more cable for bailing or setting screens. This option includes a control on the helpers side. (The sand reel is not available with auxiliary hoist.)

CoNSoLE AND PLATFoRM

All drilling operations are controlled from the operators console located at the right rear of the rig. The slim profile and quickopening side panels provide easy access for maintenance and service. An aluminum console cover is standard. The operator and helper work on large, heavy-duty steel mesh platforms that fold up for transport. A steel insert drops in between the two platforms, converting the separate platforms into one continuous surface. An optional aluminum platform is available.

LEVELING JACKS
All truck-mounted or modular TH60DHs are supported with four hydraulic jacks Drill End: Two 146 mm bore x 914 mm stroke jacks with 457 mm jack pads Non Drill End: Two 146 mm bore x 1219 mm stroke jacks with 457 mm jack pads, mounted behind the cab.

wATER INJECTIoN SYSTEMS

The TH60DH can be configured with various water injection packages, all operating at 38 bar maximum pressure. The TH60DH can be configured with various on-board mud pump packages, all of which are supplied with suction hose and foot valve/strainer.
