furnace and pendulum systems at an
extremely high melting point of appoximately

materials, the products can be applied to

ROCKWOOL PIPE SECTION
Dragon Rockwool pipe sections are strong,
non-combustible, pre-formed insulation
units. The sections are pre-split lengthwise
for easy snap-on application. Rockwool pipe
sections are available in a wide range of
thickness with different inside diameters.
Pipe sections are pre-laminated with kraft
paper or aluminum foil upon request.
APPLICATION
Dragon Rockwool pipe sections are specially
designed and manufactured to meet the
required specification performance on
thermal insulation, energy saving, fire
protection, sound absorption for pipe lines.

ACOUSTIC
For acoustic purpose, pipes should be
insulated with re-formed section to reduce
noise, especially pipes which transport
gases, fluids or particle solids at high
velocity. The application of pipes section
may considerably reduce noise.
The thicker the insulation the pipe section,
the better the noise reduction.

In October 2001, after a comprehensive review
of the findings in 1988, the International Aqency
Reseach on Cancer (IARC) decided to remove
Rock Wool from it's list- Category 2B -possible
carcinogens, and reclassified into 'Category 3 -
not classifiable as carcinogenic to humans'.
In present, all Rock Wool products using as
(Insulation) material, are classified as Category
3 and non-abestos.
The IARC specifically noted that:
"Epidemiological studies published during
the 15 years since t he previous IARC
Monipraphs review of these fibres in 1988
provide no evidence of Increased risks of lung
cancer or mesothelioma (cancer of the lining
of the body cavities) from occupational
exposures during manufacture of these
materials. and inadequate evidence overall
of any cancer risk".
However, Rock Wool may result in temporary
itching and sensible when touched directly
frequecy. So. it's necessary to use PPE during
erection. Dusts released during installation are
not classified as hazardous.
