PASCOE family

Seasons greetings family and friends,

Its hard to believe that twothousand and eleven is already in the record books. Fortunately, we forged many memories to look back on. January 2011 was the rst month Mike hasnt been in school since the year 1987! He traded his casual grad student blue jeans for a white lab coat as he joined the faculty of the Physical Therapy Program in the Univ of Colorado School of Medicine. There Mike is a coinstructor of anatomy for PT, PA, MD, & DDS students. In February, we visited New Orleans for the rst time to attend a physical therapy conference. Mike watched with pride as Stephanie was recognized for completing her orthopedic physical therapy specialization (OCS). For Spring Break we explored the non-contiguous United States by taking a vacation in Oahu, Hawaii. We had our rst ride in a helicopter and cannot wait to do it again. After many months of searching, we nally found a great house in a great neighborhood in Lafayette, CO and made initial arrangements to purchase our rst home. May of course meant time for the Bolder Boulder 10K on Memorial Day. It was a great race that marked Mikes 10th nish and the 6th time for Stephanie (who beat Mike by mere seconds). We closed on our new home on June 13 and had tons of help moving in that following weekend. For the rest of the summer we enjoyed exploring our new neighborhood, enjoying many runs along Coal Creek H O L I DAY L E T T E R | 2 0 1 1 with Maia as well as sampling the many farmers markets in the surrounding towns. We managed to get away to Minnesota for the wedding of our dear friend Nina. Landscaping the backyard had been looming all summer and in mid-September we nally broke ground with our rst rototilling experience. Twenty tons of river rock, two palates of sod, four trees, twenty shrubs, and several man-hours of labor later our yard was nished! It was physically exhausting but a fun experience at the same time. The highlights of Fall included; Stephanie surprising Mike with a birthday dinner at the restaurant overlooking right eld at Coors Field, learning some swing dancing and foxtrot moves, and getting lost in a spooky corn eld maze at Halloween. In December we visited family in Arizona, where Stephanie caught her rst sh! We will be celebrating Christmas with family in Denver and rounding out the year with a 60th birthday celebration for Mikes Dad. We are truly blessed and wish you happy holidays and all the best for 2012! Love,
