Agilent Technologies RF Communication Lab Station for Education and Research in RF and Wireless Communication
The Agilent Technologies RF Communication Lab Station is a carefully designed, modular and upgradable courseware for under graduate and postgraduate engineering students. The kit comprises of a bundle of RF Transceiver Trainer and Measurement Instruments with necessary Software, to enable engineering community to understand the basics of Communication technologies.
The kit is a handy resource to understand the critical measurements that are performed on transceivers, and to learn more about the individual components that go into the development of transmitters & receivers. The Schematic Modules provided in this courseware, are valid for simple Analog RF Communication technologies as well as for the more complex Mobile Communication technologies of present times.
Also available as part of this courseware, are Lecture Material and Lab Sheets/Modules for Engineering Educators. These are in an editable format so that they can be customized in accordance with the course curriculum.
The Agilent Technologies RF Communication Lab Station has been specially designed with the objective of assisting education and research in the areas of:
Basic RF concepts RF circuit design concepts RF communication system concepts Characterization of RF circuits Usage of CAE tools Simulation and building of RF circuits
Features
Teaching material provided in editable format to help RF Circuit Design lecturers to customize or update the courseware as per their curriculum and requirements. RF Transceiver Trainer has been split into modules for the users to mix and match these as per their requirements. This provides exibility in building any RF Subsystem, as well as for replacing pre-dened modules with your own modules. Modules can be used in standalone mode to demonstrate basic concepts, design principles and characterization of transceivers building block; or these can be connected together to demonstrate fully functional end-to-end RF transceiver.
The kit comes equipped with Lab sheets/modules for device characterization on typical RF circuits such as Filter, Low Noise Amplier, Power Amplier, Mixer and Synthesizer. Computer aided engineering (CAE) design les based on Agilent GENESYS have been provided in order to demonstrate modeling, design principles and simulation of RF circuits, to facilitate easy learning.
