I used Adobe Photoshop C S3 to create the outcome to this tutorial, but certainly earlier versionsofthe program will also be entirely suitable. Step One: Firstly, you will need to download the font that isusedtocreatetheskylogo.Youcanfinditatthislinkhere: http://www.dafont.com/skylogos.font Once you have installed the different TrueType font files, they should automatically load up forusein Photoshop.Ifnot,restartPhotoshopandtryagain. Step Two: C reate a new document with a white background at a sizemeasuring500x300pixels.SelecttheHorizontal Type Tool and using the Sky TV C hannel Logos font, type the number8withasizeof400ptintoyourtext boxusingblackasyourcolour.MakesurethatSmoothisselectedinthedropdownantialiasingmenu.

Step Four: Keep the LayerStylesmenuopen,aswewillnowbeaddingacolouroverlay.Simplyselectthisinthemenu, andaddawhiteoverlaylikethatshowninthescreenshotbelow:

Step Five: The final step is to add the blue tint to the text.Wewillbedoingthisthroughtheuseofanadjustmentlayer, which are amazingly handy layers which can be used to change a number of different thingssuchascolour, toneandcontrast. Go to the bottom of the layers paletteagain,andclickonthesmallcircleicon,whichisfilledinhalfblackand half white. A small menu should then appear, where you should select the C olour Balance option. Itshould open up another menu with different slider options. Simply follow thescreenshotsbelowtogetthecorrect settings.
