GUARDIANS TOURNAMENT 2009/II - MISSIONS


WIN = 9 POINTS / DRAW = 5 POINTS / LOSS = 1 POINT PLUS BONUS POINTS (MAX SCORE = 12 POINTS PER MISSION) DEPLOYMENT Deploy your forces using the Pitched Battle rules. After terrain set-up but prior to rolling for deployment sides, alternate placing five objective markers 12 from each other and table edges. SPECIAL RULES Each objective must be revealed before attempting to control it. A scoring model must first touch the marker during the movement phase, then the player rolls a d6. On a 4+ the objective is a real one, otherwise it's a decoy and removed from the table. On a roll of a 1 the decoy is booby trapped. The model touching the objective takes an auto S4 hit. The last unrevealed objective marker left on the table is a real one if all previous markers turned out to be a decoy. VICTORY CONDITIONS The winner is the player controlling the most objectives by the end of the game.

SPECIAL RULES Gift of Chaos: After deployment select one of your Troop units and roll a d6. Result: (1) Rage, (2) +1 S, (3) +1 I, (4) +1 T, (5) +1 A, (6) Feel No Pain. The Gift lasts for the entirety of the game. VICTORY CONDITIONS To win you must destroy one enemy HQ and two Troop units by the end of the game. To destroy a unit all models have either been killed or have fled off the battle board. BONUS BATTLE POINTS +1 At least one of your HQ units is alive by the end of the game. +1 You destroyed the enemy Troop unit with the Gift of Chaos by the end of the game. +1 You have a Troop unit within the enemys deployment zone at the end of the game. DEPLOYMENT Use the Spearhead deployment rules for this mission. Before deployment place an objective marker centered in each table quarter. SPECIAL RULES For this battle only, Elite units may also control objective markers. VICTORY CONDITIONS The winner is the player to control the most objective markers by the end of the game.
